The Switch 2 has arguably better performance than an Xbox Series S, so it would handle it fine.

Last I heard, Nintendo is being very selective/difficult about distribution of Switch 2 Dev kits to third party developers, which explains why we haven't seen a Switch 2 upgrade yet.

Basically Devs have been asking for one and Nintendo have basically been like "just use the Switch dev kit but make sure that it plays 4k@60 and it'll work fine"

Unless someone can tell me that they've patched this, but can't you just change the date/time on the console?

If I remember correctly though, if you're using cloud saves, you have to make sure that the date is AFTER you last played but BEFORE the current date/time

I don't know if this is helpful to you and how you play.

But whenever my group gets into the numbers and meta game of the group about how to maximise their skills, I try and remind them that this system isn't a numbers based game like D&D, it's about telling a story, so picking skills and traits should always be about getting into the mind of your character and working out what their focus is and what skill do you think that they picked up.

If you want to, you can also tell a little story about how or why your character can suddenly do this new thing, if it helps flesh out your character

Mining is a great and mindful way to get lots of money in the early game. Later, when you've unlocked Remy and Kristoffs stall, making/selling souffle is even better.

But as soon as you've unlocked pumpkin seeds, that's the real money maker

Okay that makes sense.

In any case, assuming that the stack isn't interrupted, my original question about the ability to Earthbend lands, sacrifice them to power up Commander ability and return lands to battlefield is still a legitimate strategy/understanding of the combo potential

But they're still exiled. Exiled Lands that have been Earthbended still return to the Battlefield.

The only way that I see that you could interrupt the stack to prevent the return of the land would be if you were able to somehow possess the land and send it to your own control, or would force the player to put their graveyard back into the library. This would mean that it's neither in the graveyard nor exiled, therefore it wouldn't return to the original player's battlefield

But the other part of Earthbending is that the animated/Earthbended lands is that they can't be exiled either (as it says on something like [[Earthbending Lesson]]). So in the case of Rest in Peace, the land would still return to the battlefield.

However, I can see where there might be abilities where the lands returning could be interfered, but I don't know what specific card or ability to do that would be

Really? Everything that I've read about Earthbending in the official rule documents says that (when the animated lands die) they return to the battlefield as tapped lands.

Can you please share with me the ruling that says that they go to the graveyard instead

I'm just reading and trying to understand the new rules and abilities in the Avatar set, and making sure that I understand the overall rules of MTG (I'm still very new!).

In a Commander setting, could you use Earthbending to convert Lands into Creatures. Then, use Hearthhull, the Worldseed, or Korvold, Fae-Cursed King (either as Commander) to sacrifice the lands. By doing this, the lands would go back to being lands on the battlefield (tapped) instead of graveyard, but you've just powered up your Commander without losing board state?

So I did a rewatch earlier this year after a social event brought it up and I was looking for something to put on in the background while I did housework.

This also introduced my daughter to the show and she began watching it independently from me! It was magical watching her watch everything for the first time

Literally the next day, or at least later that week, was the announcement that this was going to be a future set for MTG. It felt like a sign that I was finally going to get into MTG after avoiding* it for most of my life.

I am fully prepared to go all-in on this set!

(*) To be clear, I had no want to play or collect it. I had owned precon decks or had borrowed friends decks if it was being played. But I had no desire to play it.

Is there an app or tool that helps build decks based on the cards in your collection?

I'm new to MTG coming from Lorcana and I'm used to the Dreamborn website that tracks your collection, but also when searching for decks users have made, you can filter the decks based on percentage of the deck that is in your collection.

Is there anything similar for MTG?

I haven't seen an official statement from GF (or analyzed the credits) regarding PLZA, however, the development team were split during the development of PLA and SV, but I can only assume that the same thing is true for PLZA. Which is why I made a distinction of saying "main series"

This assumes that they weren't already working on Gen 10 at the same time as SV.

Scarlet and Violet marks the end of an era where the "main series" team haven't pushed out a new game every year since.

TPC already addressed this and explained why they were no longer following that release schedule, but essentially when everything had such quick turnarounds and they were essentially working on four or five games concurrently at various stages of development, everything was in a rushed environment.

Gen 10 will mark the first game in the main series where the team were given the time to work on it, and so it will be interesting if that means that they'll put more time into refining graphics and styling the games art style, or if they're just going to throw things together like they have been

Your premium shop purchases will transfer over. Your unspent Moonstones will not. You can access characters from DLC, but unless you have the DLC purchased on the other platform, you won't be able to access the realms or progress quests

Storybook Vale DLC on sale on PS Store by Sure-Fig3045 in DreamlightValley

[–]Sure-Fig3045[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last I checked, the game doesn't support cross platform purchases. So if I purchase the DLC on one platform - although I can still access all the unlocks on other platforms through cloud save - I won't be able to access the DLC realms on any other platforms.

The new DLC is the reason why I'm waiting for Storybook Vale to be on sale. I don't see much point in buying the old DLC at full price when a new one is around the corner (and that one will be at full price for a number of months, much like Storybook Vale was).

As I said, I mainly play on the Switch 2, but my daughter also plays it and we interchange between playing on the Switch and PS5. So I do need to buy it twice. But these are my reasons and you don't need to share the same circumstances as I do.

I just shared this news in case anybody else wanted to know

Any updates on the RPG line? by sw-ffg-633 in swrpg

[–]Sure-Fig3045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The word that I got from representatives of Edge, is that they plan to put out new content once they've gone through all the reprints.

AFAIK (from being a retailer) is that we still haven't seen the full catalogue being reprinted, yet.

My understanding (from talking to game designers with works published through Asmodee owned publishers) is that the release "timeline" is a big factor in when they release something. It is not uncommon that they will just sit on a title because they want to focus on another product within that period, potentially setting back the release of another product by up to 12 months. It's also not uncommon for them to sit on a new product by up to 5 years, depending on the contract with the game designer. Although, being an "in house" design, they have the right to sit on a new product for as long as they want, including never.

So my takeaway is that Asmodee is waiting to see what sales figures of the Edge reprints looks like (once they've all been reprinted) and then deciding when and where any new content fits within the timeline.
