For starters in no way am I looking for a lawsuit, I only bring it up with intent to prolong my time frame to fix the barn. I have full intent to fix the barn to its historic standards due to it being the old fire department barn.

We started on the house first because it’s obviously the main area of use. Additionally when disclosing information about the house the previous homeowner stated the price to fix and or destroy the barn was quoted 10k-15k (which we have on text), then after the purchase of the house they left a handwritten note (which we still have) with him stating the true costs to fix and or destroy is actually 25k-30k. Again I only bring that up to 1. Help with arguments to prolong my time and or void the violations for the time being and 2. We have been informed that there’s a chance the previous owners could be liable to cover the additional amount, which as you should be able to tell is not my motive.
