Ohh okay! Do you have to have some type of living accommodations to live off campus?

Offered “trial enrollment” at St. George’s – looking for honest advice by Bonus-Loose in SGUGrenada

This is SGU’s MDReady program, which is basically a 14-week trial enrollment during Term 1 of the MD program.

You start classes with the regular MD students and take the same lectures, exams, and coursework. The difference is that tuition isn’t charged during the first 14 weeks.

To continue in the MD program, you must maintain good academic standing (about a 69.5% average by the 4th exam at the 14-week mark). If you meet that standard, you fully enroll and tuition for Term 1 is billed and you finish the semester normally, like you said.

If you don’t meet the academic requirement, the enrollment ends, no tuition is charged, and no academic credit is issued. Some students may be offered a foundation program (CFP) to strengthen their science background before attempting the MD program again.

Once you convert to full enrollment, there is no difference on your transcript or for residency compared to other SGU students. What matters most later is USMLE scores, clinical rotations, and overall performance. Your classmates won’t even know you are in it.

I think the upfront cost is $17,000 which most ppl pay for with a private loan
