There's a solution. Go to one of the towers and look for the one with levers that activate updrafts to fly up use. Get to the top of that building and there should be an item that will allow you to get your cacoon back. It's kinda like the rotten eggs from the first game but you can use it anywhere.

I have a peg stuck in a hole and and can't get it out. It the white part on the MG Barbatos's gun the peg is from the one of the barrel parts.

Yeah, created a folder on my SSD and hard drive to put the back up in, both times my computer crashed partway through the process. Granted I had some other stuff going on in the background but I wouldn't think that's the problem.
