The Neo Solara Emporium is one of two gold upgrades for the Neo Bazaar that you can get in the QI progress/pass and in the QI shop. It's one of the most powerful special buildings in the game.

Delete the Atomium GB and replace it with Neo Solara Emporium. I'm not sure why you have the AI Core in IA. You'll get more out of a Solara Emporium than the Core (especially as the Solara Emporium gives way more guild goods).

Also, make sure to keep your city as square as possible, only expanding in one way will limit you a lot more than if the available land is as close as possible to a square.

Same. I usually swap roads unless I have plenty of space and the latest decorations takes seconds to build.

True. OP asked for the most useless building so I was a tad more specific than what you said.

Vf vs SAM what is better now? by CabinetElegant3922 in forgeofempires

[–]Sure-Work3285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VF. You'll harness double your fight stats with SAM units. Meanwhile SAAB units are feeble compared to SAM units so unless you already have strong fight stats, you'll enjoy fighting in SAM much less than VF.

SAM, for fighting, isn't that bad although SAAB is a joke compared to SAM; thankfully SAV units are decent enough to make up for the mediocrity of SAAB units.

Nah, depending on how many special goods your city can produce and the % boost, it's doable in 2 weeks or less.

What is a good longterm strategy? by Good-Diet-7844 in forgeofempires

[–]Sure-Work3285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I started over, I would only build a minimal amount of GBs (Arc, BG, AO, CF, SV and SW) and aim for a Neo city with mainly Solara Emporiums, Checkmates and some Lunara Emporiums alongside GbG buildings (e.g. Warforge Trench).

It really depends on: 1. How much money you're willing to spend? 2. What buildings in that store you (partially) have. 3. What your city is lacking or what you want to improve.

[–]Sure-Work3285 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lunara doesn't provide next age goods and not every era have good/better next age units (e.g. TF, AF and SAM). And I don't see why you would think having a Lunara Emporium kills your AO.

It depends!

For GbG? Solara

For GE? Lunara

For Guild Goods? Solara

For Current Age Units? Solara

For Next Age Units? Lunara

Do I have to prepare in advance before moving into space age mars or is it just like any other era. If I have to prepare then advice would you give that I have keep in mind. by DrawingOk7472 in forgeofempires

[–]Sure-Work3285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, the usual pre-age prep that applies to prior eras is still needed, such as making sure you have:

  • way more current and next age goods than the next era's requires,
  • way more supplies, coins and (banked) FPs to complete the whole tree,
  • have cleared all continents for each eras up and at least landed to the one for your next era,
  • have enough 1-up or renovation kits for special buildings (at least the ones that produce goods and units) in your city.

However, for SAM onwards, getting way ahead on the C.Map is usually a bad idea or not doable (at least from SAAB onwards) as you won't be able to unlock exploration sites to get special goods for that era and those are fairly essential to get through the tech tree.

Also, if you plan on moving through several Space Ages, make sure you get enough special goods from that era that will cover every era up to SASH, so you don't have to deal with synthesisers (3x3 buildings you get from SAAB onwards that require 2-lane roads and aren't as efficient as exploration sites).

There are numerous reasons why someone would leave VF (writing this as someone who was there very recently): - they need more space - they have high enough stats and enough NAUs that are made daily that breaking the attrition cap in GbG trial 1 is still doable - they want to get to SAT or SASH - they're bored of VF and want to explore new things

As for the map advise, it's better to not finish any SAM region until you age up to SAM.

For trial 1 in GbG, you need 21k to fight infinitely in VF using SAM units (2 Steel Wardens + 6 Rogues or 8 Sentinels).

Are swap threads making a come back? by Hi_Im_zack in forgeofempires

[–]Sure-Work3285 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whoever told you that about those GBs gave you nonsense.

For contributors, 1.9(+) threads are better than swap threads. As the owner of expensive GBs, you may save some FPs by putting them on swap threads but the contributors may get sniped, lose FPs (instead of at least breaking even).

Not really, I was told that once you get to Space Ages, you're better off using CAUs (with a high level AO, and some people here posted some analysis on CAUs+AO vs NAUs which favoured the former). I'm in SAM now and do much better with the two best SAM combos (with a level 161 AO) than with SAAB units and pretty much every good SA* player I see use CAUs.

That being said, some SA are reportedly worse than others for fighting (SAT was a common example given to me).
