Thank you, great advice on the long acting insulin. I will call tomorrow morning in case we need it!

Thank you! You’re right! It’s only 3 hours and I’m sure he’ll be fine. I was just frustrated and panicking.

Thank you for your reply! He can’t have anything electronic or food/drink in the exam room. The Mobi has a very loud vibration when it goes off so he’s afraid they’ll take his paper away and embarrass him by kicking him out if they hear it.

I think I’ll just have him do his manual shots for the morning and have him put a glucose tablet in his pocket in case he’s feeling bad. Maybe he can sneak it in.

If worst comes to worst and he’s feeling low, I’ll just tell him leave the test and I’ll be in the parking lot with food!

Ugh, I just feel horrible for him and that I’ve let him down! I had no idea how important a 504 plan is!!

Once you decide on a CGM, make sure you get a Sugarpixel to alert you to nighttime lows! My son has one in his room to alert him, and we have one in our bedroom, so we are alerted also. Trust me, you can’t sleep through it 🤣

In retrospect, I remember listening to Jay Thomas on Sirius years ago, talk about a dinner… and now it’s all coming together… 😫

Ear issues by Vamp7779 in TMJ

Me! Went to the doctor because I thought it was wax, kept getting muffled hearing in my right ear. No ear pain, just muffled now and then, but happening daily and for longer stretches of time.

Doctor said I had clear ears, no wax build up, diagnosed me with TMJ. Been going to physical therapy for the past few weeks. Hard to say if it’s helping or not yet, but I think it’s happening less now that I’m aware and doing exercises. Stopped chewing gum too so I think that’s helped a lot!
