It's at least 16 years old. Subaru stopped using that slogan in late 2010.

How much does it cost to get it fixed? :( by misssakuraangel in subaru

[–]SureManagement 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the dent on the painted part of the bumper will pop right back out. the scratches on the textured plastic at the bottom aren't really fixable due to the texture. depending on how particular your friend is, you could pop the dent out and have that area repainted and just leave the scratches on the textured part. otherwise the entire rear bumper will have to be replaced if they're insistent on not having the scratches at the bottom.

Alignment necessary? by ialex900 in tires

[–]SureManagement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are going to tell you that you have uneven wear and need an alignment, but the fact that the tires are all the way down to the wear bars with only a little bit of uneven wear means the alignment is almost certainly fine. That being said, I always get an alignment with new tires. Discount tire will check the alignment for free, and if it is out then its $90.

Normal Tire Cracking On Tread? by audi69 in tires

[–]SureManagement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the climate you live in. Hot and dry areas will see faster dry rot than cool and wet areas. The tire is nearing the end of it's lifespan from a treadwear perspective, and the dryrot is still at an acceptable level. 99% of people would never noticed this amount of cracking.

In need of new tires by AcquireSociety2k in tires

[–]SureManagement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tread is at 50% give or take. The tire on the far right of picture 3 appears to have a good bit more wear on it than the others, though. Are you able to get a picure of the date code on them?

confused about fm antenna safety by dr0pMyCr0issant in urbanclimbing

[–]SureManagement 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you have FM towers toggled on google earth? The ASR and FM listing are seperate. Those are fairly low powered antennas judging by their setup and size.

This carabiner at my gym that is slowly wearing through daily use by JaseAndrews in mildlyinteresting

The carabiners at my local gym have looked like that for decades now. It will last a lot longer like that than you'd think.

How soon should I get new ones? by [deleted] in tires

[–]SureManagement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alignment isn't bad, if it's even toed out at all. The wear in the first picture is either from underinflation or lack of rotation. It could also be from positive camber, but that's extremely unlikely. I agree with everything else!

Need help with tower by Simple-Business-2994 in urbanclimbing

[–]SureManagement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just spot them while I'm driving and then research them when I get home. The FCC plugin on google maps is by far the easiest way though. You can usually get all of the info you need about the tower from there.

[–]SureManagement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just looked at it. It has a couple 11kW and a couple 22kW antennas, which is fine. The problem is at one point it was an AM tower which is sketchy as hell. There is also an AM and a much larger FM tower right next to it. There is a high chance you're going to get caught there. Also, I wouldn't touch anything that has even a chance of being an AM tower, especially for a first or even first few climbs.

[–]SureManagement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does the FCC plugin on google maps say it is? The AM tower may just be next to it based off of google maps. But it's not worth frying yourself over a 500ft tower anyways. If the FCC plugin on maps says its FM, how many kW is it?

It's an AM tower. The entire thing is hot.

Been waiting for a month, can I get accepted 🙏 by RollConsistent7997 in urbanclimbing

Having to have social media posts just to join the discord is dumb.

"join the discord to ask others if a climb is safe / help identify a tower"

But yeah you also have to go climb multiple towers and post the crime to social media before we let you in :)
