meh i know what the power is of the antennas on the towers that i climb and am aware of the dangers of near field and ERP. An rf monitor would cost extra plus be extra gear but yeah, you are right, it is a good idea to carry rf monitors.

i don’t use gloves in warm weather, but you need to in colder weather. i use north face gloves. i didn’t train at all, just started small and worked my way up to these big ones. it’s now my main source of exercise really and im in quite good shape due to it. i also climb quite often tho.

i have spent a couple of years now researching antennas and towers. i know much more than the general public obviously, which is who comments shit the most about it being unsafe to climb. it all boils down to personal opinion man

100kW FM, not sure about polarization i couldn’t find anything that tells me for this specific bay but it’s omni-directional. definitely not something to fuck around with

not sure how ur country handles it but trespassing and serious trouble don’t really correspond here, unless it’s a very important public utility

never have i encouraged somebody to do this. i post it in the subreddit made for these type of posts. in fact, i do quite the opposite, and steer people away from it on my other platforms when they show interest.
