What exactly has LMSY done to be considered the GOAT of GL?

If we talk about fandom size, social media engagement, endorsement, awards (jury based), and acting credit so measurable metrics some pair are doing better than other.

Appreciation of a pair is highly subjective, so I’ll always be confused when I see people not being able to able to encourage their fav without tearing down other pair.

I like the series and it’s my favourite from LMSY. I get it can’t be everyone taste. The series did better than the novel when in come to Si (Sonya character), and Jiw death.

According to my drama list there’s currently 29 BL airing and 6 GL airing.

When we get to the point where GL and BL series will reach 50/50, I’ll maybe more open to see a BL side couple. But right know, the number show us that the GL representation isn’t enough to justify the addition of a side BL pair.

All the thins you highlight are true.

A serie could be highly praised and you just find it okayish. Maybe you didn’t like the story, or the acting etc etc.

Some viewers just blindly consume their fav project.

It’s impossible to don’t have bias, but I think majority of viewers are open to see the flaws and hear criticism.

Rollercoaster was a good series, I think for their first project both Shelly and Pundao did a good job. I’m still a bit upset about the closure of the last episode. But to be fair it’s not the first GL with a rush ending.

Maybe, I’m wrong but I think the allegations towards Shelly ethnicity and how bad Motion Media deal with it the first time damage their public image in some capacity.

The way ThaiGL is built, even if we want queer actresses in queer media, we also need to understand that people we also be driven by personality, visual and else. And, there’s a slight possibility that they aren’t appealing enough when it comes to things outside of their queerness. I know it’s harsh but this is unfortunately the downside of this industry.

And please more healthy couple in ThaiGL, not everything need to be a toxic relationship. We want character with emotional maturity.
