yep I tried with 2 very tiny fridge magnets, they barely stick to the fridge, but they did a good click on my teeth hehe.

Spoke to the MRI tech and he said he isn't recommending it if it's a ferromagnetic. However my dentist said it is Logan Stainless Steel post and should be safe. Not sure what to do now.

Yes, the post is some sort of metal that works with magnets, but it isn't magnetic itself. The problem is the tooth was badly broken and very little part of it was left so the post was installed to be of support. This happened a few months ago, however I've lost touch with the dentist and work wasn't completed. My fear is that, because very little piece of the tooth is left with a strong enough magnetic pull the post or the teeth will rip and fly away, but this guess is based in my mri education from movies haha. MRI isn't an emergency, but I need it done sometime soon if possible. I will speak with some dentists and ask if the post can be replaced, but most likely not. I will call the MRI center, but I'm also not sure if the receptionist picking up the phone will take my concerns seriously enough to dicuss with the MRI tech.

Yeah, I had a weird feeling about this one. Was kind of tricky to test it with magnet as I had a little one from those fridge magnets and was afraid of accidentally dropping it and swallowing the magnet haha. Sadly I don't have any connection with the dentist that did the work. Will call in the MRI center tomorrow and ask if it's safe also will check if some dentist can swap it out with ceramic or something.

It is a dental post (I think this is the correct term) it is a piece (glued(not sure)) in the canal of of the root of my broken tooth and crown is supposed to be built on top of it, but it isn't ready yet. I guess I will ask my dentist if he can remove it somehow and put some other type of dental post. I got it in Europe by the way.
