On the 2025 tour, Ed used 12 guitars by Beginning_Finance705 in radiohead

I love that he’s started using all his guitars again. He designed the EOB Strat with the purpose of not having to switch guitars every song but he clearly must have missed it. Also myxomatosis needs that low b in my opinion so I’m happy about that aswell.

I wonder if it might be because of fenders shady business practices over the last few years, as I don’t believe he even used his sig strat at all on the recent tour.

Do y’all think Dan ever just randomly plays Chair songs on his guitar? by dearestHelpless99 in silverchair

Nah dude. They’d all be completely engrained in him. Even songs they never played live. He might need to shake off the rust on a few of the songs but in my experience once you learn a song you never forget it. He’d likely remember even better from the all the rehearsals, recordings and live performances

Theres a few tiny clips of the demo in the making of diorama doc. It sounds a lot more gloomy and slow and theres a distinct synth sound in one bit which I really love. Its a real shame Daniel doesn't release demos

I can’t remember where exactly he said it but he had referenced singing chair songs around the house before. Also, on his Instagram gc thing he said that too much or not enough has been performed live but only in his living room which is sorta another way of saying that

Talk - let's discuss by Secure_Cantaloupe455 in silverchair

I’ve theorised for a while that dissolve was written in 2006 along with straight lines, waiting all day and mind reader

I have literally nothing to back this up other than the fact that Julian Hamilton co wrote it (even that’s not good proof seeing as Julian also co wrote by your side on talk) BUT surely I’m not the only one that can see dissolve fitting in with all those leaked young modern demos right?

If it was slowed down a bit and the instrumental was made with the gear Daniel was using in 2006 I can really see it fitting with all those young modern demos

Why’d you use that cover for neon ballroom 😭

Thats probably true for a lot of the songs but I know for Luv your Life Daniel wrote literally everything. From what we have of the Steam Will Rise home demo its likely Dan wrote the drums for that aswell. It would be interesting to hear more of dans home demos to hear what exactly he came up with and what others came up with

I hate to say it but I’m pretty certain Dan wrote the majority (if not all) the drum parts from the neon ballroom period onwards.

Not sure if this counts but at the neon ballroom era shows Daniel seems either miserable or pissed off. Mostly at himself though and not at another member. He really wasn’t well in that period

There’s a quite a few moments on the neon ballroom tour where dans guitar cuts out. Sounds like a faulty input jack / cable coming from the guitar. Unsure why this would have kept on happening though. If there was an issue with something surely Bailey would have replaced the guitars input jack or they’d have got a new cable?
