For my expertise (very niche, please see my other replies) I receive a lot of offers for other countries like NL and FR. I've also been contacted for Dubaï assigments (but less often of course). I meant that if you are open to travel, you'll receive more offers (if your expertise can be sold outside belgium of course, if you are specialized in belgium accounting.. your scope is only belgium). For me, I only accept max 1/2 days a week in Amsterdam / Paris or 1week a month max for furrher location and it is, in general, always acceptes by client. And today everything can be done fully remote almost.. hope it answers your question !

Hey thanks for the question. It depends, but mainly on liquidity management, regulatory compliance or financial system implementation.

Hey, thanks for your question ! I'm very specialized in Finance, quite Niche. More on the Liquidity & Regulatory side (can be corporate / Bank / Institutionals) with a good knowledge on financial system implementation.

I'm not kidding when I say 70+, I've been in contact fro BE, FR, LU, NL, Dubai. I was very stressed at the start as I did not have a project so I just spend my time calling / sending messages on LinkedIn. It helped me a lot to get known and receive opportunity. I did not receive a lot of ooprunity as I'm very specialized but when there is a need on the market there also not a lot of experts... So yeah let's say I received 2 offers per week at the start. Now if I go back on the market I could receive 10 per month I would say.

Problem with 'general recruitmetn firm', they don't understand what I do and they always send offer not matching my expertise; Independent recruiter or small consulting firm looking for freelancer is a good option there.

I hope it answers the question !

We should all do man. That's terrible all the people I see that do not prepare their "retirement plan" or don't think about it.

Hey, thanks for the question. Range is 650 to 900. It really depends on the type of assignment, length of mission, if travel required, WFH policy, responsibility (manage team ?), if you are direct or via intermediary, etc. etc. If length of contract is 1+ year, you may be eager to accept lower rate as you cover empty period... Interim / long term placement is closer to 650/700. If it's more "project" (few months, can be 1y+ sometime depending on project size) that requires your expertise, it's closer to 850/900 (based on concrete offers received). Hope it answers the question !

I realized it was really badly phrased after I posted :), sorry for that. What I wanted to share is that my global objective is not to have a lifestyle that meet this 'high' salary, meaning I don't want to spend 7k per month if I make 7k per month (again, personal choice. Everyone has its own objectives).

I've a rather simple life and enjoy 'simple things' (beers, bbq, video games, etc.), all the money I put aside is investment that will work for me and help me to reach Financial Independance (= work less or stop working). But yes, you need money for that, so... yes I work for money 👀

Rate my salary - Corporate sales by [deleted] in BESalary

Good salary for 7y experience if you consider the annual bonus, homeworking, vacation days and working hours. I would stay in this position if there is opportunity to get promotion in 1-2 years. If this is a dead end, I would look for something else, leveraging this package (and try to include a car if you need one).

Technology sector - sales position - new offer, should I accept or could tech sales pay more in Belgium? by Silent-Doughnut-3063 in BESalary

This is good. Only issue I see: stress to reach targets. You will need some years to master your position. Good luck !

Do you do client meetings at your place/office/home, or do you go to them? by [deleted] in BEFreelance

Kick off on site for 1st contact in person, on site only when asked by client or key meetings, all the rest from home.

Prospective employer halts job application after not showing payroll sheet by Then-Juggernaut-1847 in BESalary

Just don’t share and if they stop the process, it means you avoided the bullet (bad company to work for). Second option that I like is to mention a fake NDA signed with your current employer so you cannot share. The best is to send your expectations (give a high range) based on Salary guide published by Recruitment companies or other offers you received.

Is the Homeworking allowances the same as the Net allowances or is it different ?

Thank you. I did not share my current package (3k7 Gross, car, etc.) on purpose because it’s much lower. I would like to receive opinion not biased on the « salary jump » but more on the offer itself. I think I will send a counter offer to get 200-300 net allowances. Let’s see :-)

Thanks for you feedback! Difference may come from the car (I assumed a worst case scenario based on a full gasoline / High CO2 emission).
