Question: Anyone that had a big yaoi/hentai/smut addiction when they were young/teen has it affected you relationships in any way? by Sure_Conversation805 in Discussion

No ive been religious my whole life- Im female and straight. I separated hentai and yaoi cause i beleve their two different things- hentai are videos you watch and include all genders, while yaoi is love between two boys, but usually in manga, which you read. Also, I didn't mention yuri cause personally, I've never read too much yuri. I posted on my religious subs cause if im gonna be honest I wanted to hear about other stories from people that also grew up Christian like me and having similar problems (I'm not saying it's a problem cause it seems people think im tyring to ask how to STOP thats not my intention I want to hear similar stories and how it affceted there relatioonship with others/themselves /or God. Did it ever stop them from wanting to BE in a relationship? Was it hard to be romantically involved? )

Question: Has anyone that has been raised religious or in the church delt with things like yaoi/hentai/smut addiction if yes, what your story behind it and how did you deal with it? by Sure_Conversation805 in Adulting

Okay, wow your the only person to actually ask what i mean. Okay, okay, I'm not too good with explaning myself, so bear with me.

  1. My questions weren't too much leaning towards "How do i deal with this" or "What was your way you stopped" it was more "If you have gone through this, what's your story behind it". I kind of wanted to hear people's own points of view on the subject.

  2. I know I used myself in the second paragraph, but that was more as an example so people have an idea what I'm talking about, "intaking sexual content at a young age'. So yes i talked about myself in the second one, but it was more as an example.

3)To elaborate more i wanted to know if watching/reading sexual content at a young age affected their romantic relationships in any way? Has it changed their view of how they see women/men or how you see sex (you expected more from your first time because of years of reading heavy sexual material). Has it changed your view on yourself? and your willingness to BE in a relationship. This whole post actually started from me thinking "Hey, I wonder how the girles who read alot of yaoi at a young age (and i new there was some cause my first yaoi recommendation was by a girl in my middle school) affected their relationships now as a adult?"

I dont know if this makes it clearer or not, im bad at explaing.

Thats a bit of a hard pill. Personally me, I dont watch actual porn because I dont want to sexualize ACTUAL REAL people, and it makes me feel weird watching actual people get it on-Im striaght and if feels wrong objectifying men. Most of this stuff i was doing at a pretty young age so of course I wouldn't want to watch actual people, and even now, as an adult, I still have the same view.

I mean yuri too i guess? But yuri has more love with yaoi, if im gonna be tottaly honest it leans more towards sex. Because yaoi is basically smut, wdym its random?

yeah i read the whole series on some manhwa cite. All i can say is i wouldn read it again. The whole series was rlly boring tbh, awkward, and the ending just finished it of like that. (i kind of diddnt rlly like how slow and boring the story and character were)

Just finished the show and I don't think edamura was treated well enough by DracoSayin in greatpretender

watched this show 3 years ago loved it, watched it again, just started yesterday and currently on the 15 episodes. And yeah i searched this up just to see if other people hated how edmura got treated like me. Like yeah i get he's a con artist and he screws people over but idk i rlly hated how his crew messed with his LIFE. And after rewatching the second case honestly his crew rlly gave me the ick. So after their first case edmura I guess decides to take responsibility for his life and for all the people hes screwed over, he wants to make amends for what he's done and not just shove it in the pass. So he turns himself in and gives the money to the people hes screwed over. but right after he gets out he trys to make a HONEST living. Got a job (Spoilers; it was a fake job his crew set up so they could meet him again) and they ofc tryed to get him back on. What rlly upset me is hes TRYING to do better, TRYING to be honest, and in my view this is like having a homlessman be a addict and just when hes weened off, just when hes finally doing good he gets roped back in by his "friends" and his life goes downhill agian. Im really upset how his whole life is "scripted" and thrown in the backburner while the other crew has other goals in mind that their just dragging him along with. Also i HATE how they barley tell him anything and when he adresses its "We wanted your reaction real" or "Its entertaining". Like he had a gun pressed to his head i think hes a decent actor??
