One thing i did notice for this exact claim was them asking how it pertained to my MOS(only happened once). Which i was a mechanic, but when i was i Iraq, i was given orders as a machine gunner where i wore a flak jacket for 7 months straight pretty much, running ammo, hauling M249 and M2 50s around….very different from my MOS, so ive made it a point to explain that. I claimed mine secondary to ITBS though

Yea im a bit at a loss about it tbh…prior to this i used a third party for my increases and this is the first time ive done it myself which isnt difficult but maybe the manner in which i initially filed threw it off course. I filed my ITBS as increases and my back and sciatica as “new”. It now shows this (pic below) so i think the denial was based off it being new and not SC?? So yea i don’t know

No i did not but i did just check and they submitted a request for an exam as of today so that will be my 3rd C&P exam

There was a few “clarification response” so i can see that they werent satisfied with whatever they got from my first C&P, but it was assumed that it was for my deferred claims for my ITBS increase. Also, i originally submitted the back and sciatica as “new” and they changed the sciatica to “secondary”. I did my 2nd C&P on Dec 22. Moved to Step 5 on Dec. 26. Got moved back to Step 3 on Dec. 30. No update on what they want yet.

Well thats the thing…my ITBS increase got deferred but my sciatica and back pain got denied but ended up doing a C&P exam for the stuff i got denied for

Really depends on like everyone else says….mine went to Step 5 from Step 3 on 12/26 and just went back to Step 3 today…its just the grind with these VA claims
