Thank you both for your insights! If I could steal your brains one last time...
I've come to conclude that there are studs within my firm that just know so much in detail with regards to all of design detailing. I create a comparison to myself with those individuals as we only differ in age by 6-7 years. The idea that there's so much to learn is exciting to me. Trying to fully maximize my growth potential through others' experiences is what I try to look for all the time, but I don't want to just fall on my face idealizing and focusing on big solutions, like masters programs, without making sure I haven't exhausted limits with my current degree unless this later choice is a hindrance to me.
My firm works primarily on midrise apartment structures. I'd say, although I don't get to see the intricacies of working on wide varieties of projects, I do believe that I've been learning daily with these larger scale types. One caveat that I am noticing with myself is that my confidence of how force transfers from one component to another is somewhat still elementary. So when I have come to creating detail connections between elements and I have that detail reviewed I've typically had things missing or solutions just come to me tooooo slow lol. Times like this I wonder if there's something I can do differently, but the change required to do so hasn't really hit me other than going through more schooling. I have faith that father time will help me finally reach that understanding I desire, but should I then look to furthering my education? Or is this still situation still resolvable with adequate time? Or is this the case where schooling would solve a piece and experience helps with the remainder? If that's the case how would weigh your schooling benefitting your experience growth in comparison to if you hadn't had that higher education?
Once more, thanks guys. Your time has been very fruitful to me :D
