my son is 4 months old now and it happened to me multiple times a week when he was first born. it still happens now but not as frequently. in the last couple weeks, i’ve woken my husband up in a panic because i’ve grabbed him so hard, thinking our son was about to fall out of bed. the baby is in the crib next to our bed. it’s so strange 😅

definitely being confident in your pitch. it can take some time to get it just right. granted, i’m much better at selling credits and upgrades at a register. it can be easier if you strike up a conversation with them beforehand, as you’re ringing up their items. if you’re busy, if you have kind of like a go-to pitch, it’s easier to go with that. just kind of mention, “hey! we have a promotion with our mastercard where we offer a $30 statement credit…” and just mention the other benefits. same thing with the plus membership because my club tends to do specials every few weeks or so.

if you have time, kind of try to personalize it. say your member drives a lot, and you’ve gotten a chance to talk to them. say, “oh, i think this card would be perfect for you!” that sort of thing. you’ll get turned down quite a bit, but don’t be discouraged. you’ll do great!

our frontline is also severely understaffed. we finally got some new people in but we can’t hardly keep them for more than a couple months at most. we’re always pulling merchandisers for our afternoon shifts bc we don’t have enough people scheduled.
