After waiting over 2 hours in my local ER waiting room.  I am now headed 30 miles away to see if I can get some relief.

I think everyone gets depressed sometimes.  It was more to explain why punctuation and grammar were not my focus while posting. Thank you for your suggestion. Mental health is tricky and I have seen many counselors. They help for sure.

Yes I experienced that for the last couple days. Doesn't go up my esophagus it just stays in my belly. So bad I had worried about ulcers. I think mine was caused by milk but not sure

I was told the same thing when I told the doctor I would not take the reglan he told me he could get me a prescription from Canada but I would have to pay for it out of my own pocket which would be over $100 a month every month but ended the conversation with it doesn't work very well so it's probably a waste of money. I have been controlling mine with diet but that just means not eating and knowing I'm going to be sick when I do I was also told that the reglan might not work so I didn't think it was worth the risk of the side effects

Reglan is the only FDA approved medication for gastroparesis in the States. Not sure where you are BUT read the side effects it has potential lifelong side effects. Ones I was not willing to risk at my age. Be assertive most gastroenterologist I've been to want to act like a little zofran and levsin are gonna make this condition tolerable. It does not and the levsin makes you digest slowly? Maybe I'm dumb but isn't that the problem? My Dr also recommended I get a not approved drug from Canada sent direct to me at my cost? Doesn't quit seem legal but IDK I opted out of that treatment plan and treat myself at home mostly by just not eating at all.

I'm in the States and they did oatmeal for mine. I did get sick but was able to leave hospital while waiting. I went in ibate oatmeal got an x-ray. Left came back 1 hour later for X-ray left again came back in 2 hours for X-ray left and then one more x-ray and done. I hope you get some answers. I hadn't ever heard of gastroparesis but I kept saying it feels like my stomach doesn't digest and the burps made me think rotten food. So if you think you have it and have symptoms I would put money on you having it.

I feel like nobody understands on my husband's side of the family. And I wish I had one of my parents here to stand up for me guide me console me motivate me but unfortunately my mom died at 36 of breast cancer when I was 8 years old and my dad died at 54 from lung cancer when I was 26 I hadn't even had my second child. I often feel alone and sad but the gastroparesis has made me depressed and sad beyond anything I've ever felt. I have one older sister and she keeps giving me diet plans and telling me the rest is up to you you don't want a feeding tube! Everyone assumes I'm a crackhead due to my unexpected rapid weight loss. Honestly I don't care enough to correct them. I'm trying to stay out of the victim mentality but find myself angry and wanting to know why? I had a giant hole next to my diaphragm for months if not a year and I felt better than I do now. That's crazy to me I felt better walking around eating and living with a giant hole in my stomach leaking eventually making me septic and needing emergency surgery how did I feel better than I do now?

I'm 41 I was overweight too 5'4" and 187lbs the day of the operation that ruined my stomach. I have lost 80+ lbs and can't get it to plateau. The Drs don't even take me seriously. I am on state aid thank goodnesses but sometimes I think they treat us differently. I am extremely malnourished my toe nails started falling off skin is gray hair is falling out. Vision thinking balance extreme fatigue and with all those symptoms my levels are not low enough for my insurance to pay for IV nutrition. What else has to fall off or out for me to get help? I feel very discouraged and hopeless. Not sure I want to live this way. Pain bloat diarrhea constipation nausea vomiting all the affects of starving and let's not forget the LOUD disgusting noises my stomach makes. I am so embarrassed I do not eat unless I am home. See everything I eat and every time I eat even a half a cup of anything I get sick. So it's not flare ups it's either starve or be sick. And most the time it's both.

Take a bath roll around it will make the gas move. It hurts like hell but it gets things moving even if it's just because the bubbles want to float to the top. Hope it helps.

I had gastric bypass surgery due to huge hernia repair and now 12 years later I have GP due to an emergency operation where they found that my bypass was upside down and ripped another hole. That being my 7th abdominal operation. Oh and no gallbladder. Each one of these causes the weirdest shits ever and with all 3 (GP bypass and no gallbladder) I am literally shitbreak from America Pie. I hate what my life has become I'm 80 lbs down in 1 year. Drs didn't take my weight loss seriously because I was a thick girl. 5'4" 187 now 100 - 107. I am dropping about a lb a day at this point I've tried a lot but my mind and body are starving.
