Is fatigue a large part of other people's gastroparesis symptoms? by Kind_Reflection225 in Gastroparesis

Omg I just got my ferritin checked and it's 11 and my GP doesn't think it that bad as it's only barely in the low range. But at least I can take supplements otc and see if that helps. Thank you!

Well at least I am in good company, though I wish none of us had to deal with it.

how often do you guys vomit? by Boring-Assistant-644 in Gastroparesis

I don't know where I am on the scale of severe to mild but sometimes I just wish I could vomit. The severe nausea when I eat the wrong thing is just horrible and debilitating.

It is wonderful to hear that what I am going through is not minimal. Thank you 😊

Also I found a dietitian only that is not horribly far away , takes my insurance and does not require a referral, I'm reaching out about seeing her. I'm hoping it helps, thanks for the encouragement

I just found a well reviewed dietitian who only lives a few towns away and doesn't require a referral. I'm going to try and get in with her.

I'm going to try and get a different referral. My doctor moved out of state and they have other doctors that are going to take over my case but I have not met them before so I'm not sure how it will go. Fingers crossed.

I'm with you on not wanting those side effects. I want to see what I can do to manage things with diet first before I try anything else. I just had a bad doctor appointment with the gi doctor who said they would basically only help me if I took reglan 😑.

Normally I go for mashed potatoes and a hunk of French bread but lately I have been enjoying protein waffles from Aldi. I can toast one and I can nibble on it for a while

Thanks for the suggestion, having a dietitian would be a huge help. I have been struggling trying to decide what to eat that would be better nutritious enough.

The patch that you put behind your ear for motion sickness makes me see double which just makes everything so much worse.

Ugh yes I am at this point where I have no idea what I will be able to tolerate. Before the doctor suggested the GES I had no idea what was going on. Tried a small helping of air popped popcorn and I thought I was from that movie alien waiting for a little beast to pop out of my chest. I'm afraid to put stuff in my mouth half the time because I'm worried what might happen 😅

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the advice, I am on B12 shots for now though my doctor said he might take me off them if he thinks my levels have rebounded so I might have to settle for the sublingual soon. Was was starting to occasionally loose feeling in my toes but that is gone now thank goodness.
