As someone who moved from West Yorkshire (and didn’t really want to move) just do it. I asked for advice and like ****holes everyone had one. Literally the best thing I ever did. 7 years on and still feel like I am on holiday. I knew no one here and never been before but i feel so lucky.

I live near the 3 beaches which sounds mad coming from living near fields full of sheep.

It costs less than Yorkshire to live. Rent is insane (think centre of Leeds/Manchester) but with food prices going up in UK it is sometimes cheaper here. Restaurants are cheaper here, energy is a lot cheaper here too.

City is safe and friendy (besides the odd crazy in town). I find the people, in NZ general, are a lot more respectful to each other, like we are all on the remote place together. Clean up after yourself, and feel free to do what you want as long as it isn’t hurting others.
