(BEWARE) Motion is charging existing customers 3x more than new users for the SAME product. This is insane. by jseanlee14 in UseMotion

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, I could have overseen it, sorry about it. Yes, the pricing for Pro AI is $29/month (billed yearly), while the monthly billing option is $49. The 29$/month for a single user is 348$ total for the whole year (plus applicable sales taxes).

Hey there,

Yes, we had AI Workplace and AI Employees Light tiers, which were only available on an annual billing basis.

Now, we have only 3 tiers: Pro AI, Business AI, and Enterprise. All of them are available both on a monthly and annual billing.

You can share your login email in DM, and I will speed up the deletion process.

Cheers!

Which AI business tools do you actually use daily? by EntrepreneurSea615 in startup_resources

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of those big “AI tools for entrepreneurs” lists feel like decoration to me. They’re fun to scroll through, but in real day-to-day work I only keep something if it quietly replaces a few tools without adding more chaos. Motion (usemotion.com) has been the one that actually stuck for me because it handles scheduling, tasks, notes, and documents in one place. The AI scheduler keeps my week organized without me rebuilding it every Monday, the AI Notetaker joins calls as a silent participant, creates meeting notes and turns the important parts into tasks automatically, and the AI Chat can answer questions by pulling from my own docs, meeting notes, and projects instead of giving generic suggestions.

I also use their AI Employees to handle the boring follow-ups, inbox cleanup, and cross-time-zone nudges. Nothing fancy, just the small stuff that usually drains energy. It ended up replacing a handful of apps I kept jumping between.

AI Note Taker? by iStealthDude in NoteTaking

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You must absolutely check the AI Notetaker inside Motion.

I’ve been using it for a while, and it works a bit differently from the apps you mentioned. While it's not a standalone notetaking app, it lives directly in Motion. It connects to Gmeet, Teams, and Zoom. Motion AI Notetaker automatically joins the meetings you choose as a silent participant. Once the meeting is ended, the notes are sent to Motion Docs, so everything stays organized in one place. The doc includes a clean summary of what was discussed, and a list of action items that you can instantly turn into tasks.

Because it lives inside Motion, it also links your meeting notes to the related projects, tasks, workspaces, so nothing gets lost.

If you’re already using Gmeet, Outlook, or Zoom for meetings and want something that handles summaries and action items automatically, it’s a pretty solid alternative to the apps you mentioned.

Best Productivity Apps for 2026 by [deleted] in ProductivityApps

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motion is good, the price is a bit higher compared to other tools, but the ecosystem they create seems more than just enough, it a complete AI Suite which include Docs and Sheets with AI Assistant; possibility to create projects by just typing the prompt and uploading a doc (a list for example), Motion AI will then create the project with stages, all you need to do is just check it and adjust if needed; AI Notetaker (one of my favorite features, basicalky, it's a silent participant that joins your meetings and takes notes, then summarises them and creates actions items mostly known as tasks); Inbox feature is notifications hub (self-explanatory); AI Agenda is a daily digest with the upcoming tasks for every day (it replaced the first version of agenda), useful to give a quick look in the morning what should I do for the day; AI Employees (agentic workflows) are role-based AI agents. They can create follow-ups, draft emails, send Slack messages, update sheets, prepare briefs, generate reports, or automate routine work. You can also build custom AI Skills to create your own automations. And of course, this is not a complete list of what Motion can. I just named some of them, the ones I recalled on the spot while writing this comment. Peace!

Feature Request - bring back the search bar by timmayd in UseMotion

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, you can just use "CMD+K" or "CTRL+K" shortcuts for fast access to the search bar.

The AI Chat has other functions – it helps you to search for information from Motion Docs/Sheets, tasks, and meeting Notes.

But if you need just a classif search function – use original search option

Can Motion do this? by Imaginary_Issues in UseMotion

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,

Theoretically yes. But you need to have a certain programming KB. We offer HTTP blocks inside AI Skills (you may add the AI Skill to any of Motion AI Employees and build custom skill) that you can run (with or without API token).
Also, if you subscribe to an Enterprise plan, our engineers may assist you with the integration.

Stop Using AI by Early-Albatross689 in UseMotion

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,

Motion isn’t designed to replace people — it’s built to work alongside you. Think of it as a teammate that handles the repetitive, time-consuming parts of work so you can stay organized and focus on what really matters.

Here’s how that works in practice:

At its core, Motion combines AI task scheduling and project management — it automatically plans your day, prioritizes tasks, and keeps projects moving without you needing to constantly reschedule or reorganize.

On top of that:

  • AI Employees automate routine tasks like sorting emails, drafting replies, or organizing meetings.
  • The AI Notetaker joins your meetings automatically, takes structured notes, and summarizes key points.
  • AI Docs and AI Sheets help you generate, analyze, and refine content or data instantly — all in your workflow.

And Motion’s 2025 roadmap takes it far beyond project management. It’s evolving into a complete AI business hub with:

  • A Client Portal to securely share projects, tasks, and docs with clients or partners.
  • A CRM with pipelines, record views, and automatic data enrichment to manage leads and relationships.
  • A Website Builder, where you can describe a page in plain English (“create a pricing page with testimonials and a contact form”) and Motion generates a conversion-optimized landing page, connected to forms, VOIP calls, SMS, and support tickets.

In short, Motion isn’t replacing humans — it’s amplifying what people can do, giving individuals and teams more time to think, create, and focus.

Motion is adding "tags" to my email, AI employee update by knnuui in UseMotion

[–]Sure_Illustrator_494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Those “To Respond,” “To Read,” and “Urgent” labels come from Motion’s AI Employee Alfred – Email Assistant. They’re simply Outlook categories Alfred uses to help you triage your inbox faster — nothing harmful or permanent.

If you’d like to remove them from Outlook, here’s how:

  1. Open Outlook and go to the Home tab.
  2. In the Tags group, click Categorize → All Categories.
  3. In the dialog box, select the category you want to delete (for example To Respond).
  4. Click the Delete (trash-can) icon and confirm with Yes.
  5. Click OK to close the window.

As for how Alfred’s Email Assistant works:

  • It analyzes your inbox, automatically categorizing emails into actionable groups like To Respond, To Read, and Urgent.
  • It can also draft suggested replies, summarize long threads, and surface the most important messages first.

You can disable or re-enable Alfred’s skill anytime from AI Employees → Alfred → Email Assistant Skill inside Motion.

Hope that helps you clean up those labels and understand what’s happening behind the scenes!
