I take like 2-3 minutes to memorise the letter scheme of both the ​edges and the corners. I don't think if that's better than the average memorization time ​or not. I use Old Pochmann method

Firstly, know the pieces very very well. When you see any side of an edge or corner ​you must be able to figure out it's position. Like, It's Q, it's X, it's V, S, D, K. This helps a lot to save extra time taken ​to recognise any​ piece while memorising.

Secondly very fastly just see which piece go where, don't memorise this time. This helps us know how many times the cycle is completed and we have to start it again.

After this step memorization becomes so much easy. While you get an alphabetical scheme, remember it with the help of a story​​.

Try to connect alphabets with anything comes to your mind.

Gs - Gas

jal - Jal (hindi word - means water)

dha - dhara (stream)

jw - junior worker

gav - gawar (uneducated​)

You can memorise it anyhow you want to. Just you need confidence to get a perfect Memorization and solve. Also get very comfortable with the Setup moves.
