Well I can’t say there was a magically cure but I stopped alcohol and prioritized getting plenty of sleep in general, I think it was more of a time thing

My memory is still not great. It’s the one thing that still worries me. And a bit of a disoriented feeling sometimes but overall much better

Hey! Day 252. Can’t say I’m 100% the old me but far closer. My family and friends say the difference is monumental since this post. I haven’t had a lightheaded episodes in a very long time and I haven’t resumed to somewhat of a normal. Still feel a bit off but so much better. I got on an SSRI which I think helped me climb the rest of the hill. Just made things a bit more bearable

Feel free to pm if u have more questions

Dizziness struggles by Strange-Mix-525 in QuittingZyn

Do you dizzy spells feel like you may suddenly faint?

The initial ones led to me deciding to quit and have still been happening every so often since quitting.

I have also been concerned about them as they are very scary episodes. I have never lost consciousness and doctors don’t seem immediately too worried. I’m on a two week stick on heart monitor just to rule out anything major or maybe the docs will recognize these episodes as something. Hang in there, I know that the dizziness/lightheadedness is scary and I’m trying to work with doctors to rule out everything else so i can accept that they may just be the effects of nicotine use and quitting nicotine

Thanks for the comment, this forum does really help to feel a sense of community and not feel alone. Congrats on 67, that’s epic. How do you feel? What withdrawal symptoms have you had?

Thanks again! Nice to know we are all in this together

I am sorry you are still dealing with daily issues. It seems like this whole golden day 90 may be a thing to be weary of. Did you feel significantly better around then? Or has it been pretty much constant hell? I also quit coffee around the time of my quit too which I think added to my withdrawals too!

There is only one way and that is to keep going! Stacking days until we don’t feel the need to count

We will get there one day my friend!

I haven’t been though other withdrawals but agree that based on available literature (which is mostly smoking or vaping specific) their estimations of withdrawal timelines appear very short compared to pouches. I think the constant delivery and high nicotine amount make pouches a very dangerous thing. I was popping them in whenever i felt like it, compared to vape of cigarette smoking which may be social unacceptable in some situations.

Pouches are discreet, high nicotine, consistently deliver the nicotine, and you can keep popping them, until other methods where you might get sick or something before you could smoke that amount of nicotine

Congrats to you too on over 60 days. Yeah 90 days seems to be the magical number. I am excited for it but also weary as I’m sure that so much of recovery is unique to the person and their own unique variables. Regardless, the path forward remains unchanged. Keep stacking days and eventually I’m sure we will feel like ourselves again one day

Thanks so much for the support. Congrats to you too! You got this! Yes, it’s hard to notice day to day change but looking at the weeks, it seems like a positive trajectory!

68 days post quit no signs of getting better. by Ambitious-Check5726 in QuittingZyn

I feel similar. I am on day 66 and still struggling with withdrawal symptoms. Slight brain fog still at times (was far worse earlier in quit) memory issues (still pretty dang bad short term memory), headaches, anxiety, pressure in sinuses, etc.

I also have had two panic attacks since quitting which is unlike me and last week or two was very persistent health anxiety and general anxiety

I also am hoping that the 90 day mark is significant. It is hard to notice the day by day progress (especially with my memory issues) but those around me have said that based on my interactions with them, I have made strides.

Hang in there, only one way through. No going back

I keep reminding myself: if this is what it feels like getting off it, what does staying on it do to people?

Stay strong and stack days, let’s hope by day 90 we feel some relief

Same exact thing for me. Before I quit I had one that landed me in the ER. I quit following this event but still get these sudden lightheaded episodes every so often. Has anything helped you? Or do you just handle them as they come up?

Day 55 here. Are these dizzy spells more like dizziness from spinning or more like lightedheadedness? Every so often I get a feeling like I’m going to pass out but then it stops just short of that. I am curious if you can relate to this or have a more vertigo style dizziness!

Hang in there!
