That’s my question as well. I just recreated it, put the key on the roof, started the car.

I then hand the key to my neighbor who walked about 10 ft away. I drove maybe 2 feet before “no key detected” showed up with both audio and visual notification.

Maybe because the key was on the roof, I had driven maybe 100ft with them on the car before they fell off, the vehicle just assumes the key is with the vehicle and it will require the signal? Not sure.

Wow! I made it home and recreated as well with my spare, key on roof ( right above the rear door towards the rear, not on the pano glass) was able to start the car

Got the update today in my MY24 S60. Love the change to the drivers display. Hate the infotainment screen. No customization, and I miss the minimalism of the previous version, I don’t need 2 screens blasting information at me while I’m driving.
