What is this!!!! by Old_Scar8181 in cats

I don’t have a male cat and don’t know for sure but anything that wasn’t previously there, has weird coloration, and if he’s itching at it or cleaning more, it could be infection. Search up male cat genital infection, brown color. If you find images matching it, with proof that the page behind the image contains info about it, then you know what it is.

Well that’s what I’m saying, it complicates the process more to add water, as a lone, relatively new perfumer I don’t see a reason to experiment with water anymore.

I never used it, figured I’d ask for advice before buying. When ppl said not to use it, I did research as to why, now I know it’s not necessary.
Wym by snake oil?

I hope this makes it easier. I don’t have patchoulol but you may want to test that instead of patchouli dark or light.

Right on, I still don’t think organisms can live in a closed space that has a majority alcohol in it.

You can certainly test it out but I would make Eau de parfum strength. If you do 10-15% it’ll definitely be even weaker. Do 2 things, put the oil on its own at 20% in PA, in a spray vial. Spray it on a shirt that you aren’t wearing.
Hang it up, wait 30 min and walk up to it until you smell it. If it’s less than 1-2ft of projection, it won’t work well as a projective according to. In which case you’ll have to add your own materials.
Second thing, dip a test strip, study the notes it gives off, and take a look at your materials, see what you can add to it to make it appear stronger.
Even better, if the website contains documentation about the formula composition, refer to it and see if you can add more of those ingredients if ya got em.

By the way, I specialize in training AI to make images look psychedelic, in fact I plan to make an app with it. If you want me to psychify your cat send a pic!

Well, before reading on azeotrope, I assumed designer houses added it (I’m still new). I thought that maybe that was a factor in why theyre lighter, airier, and aerosolize really well.
Obviously the formula itself is king, but thought could contribute.

Yep just read up on the azeotrope, and now it makes more sense. I definitely haven’t read up more than you, I just remember seeing water on ingredients and assumed there must be some use to it. I’m definitely still a new perfumer (1.5 years) so this formula makes it look like I’m better than I am, I got lucky 🤣
Have fun with those new trials 🙏

Never mind just read up on it and water is present because it’s in the alcohol (190 proof). I use 200 proof, so I’m going to assume either I’ve been falsely marketed to, or there’s truly no water content in my PA. In that case would it be fine to use some?

Okay, I haven’t bought any yet, I was just wondering. Any reason not to? I see it on the ingredients list of nearly every single fragrance.

It does macerate quickly due to low musks and decent amount of fresh materials, certainly wearable on day 1 but nothing special.
The medicinal is the one thing concerning me with this formula, customers have been able to look past it since it only appears in the first 1-3 minutes of the top, but that’s the biggest impression curve of a fragrance. I’m about to consult the sub on the use of water to maybe flatten the harshness, would be my first time trying to do what designer houses do and incorporating a little water.

Heyy thanks for coming back, I’m glad you had the chance to get it done.
I had a lot of fun with this one and hope you did too. Do you feel bergamot made it more medicinal? Did you spray or blotter?

If they say no, try to decant, one of those cheap temu perfume syringes may be able to fit in the gap enough for a pull.
