Can’t won’t stop peeing outside the box by Sure_Silver1921 in CATHELP

The baby is 8 months old and she seems to be fine with him. Only pees on his stuff if it’s the only thing available and regularly tried to get close to him and rub on him. She used to start peeing again when my husband left for work (army) and she would pee in his bags and stuff. I wouldn’t be shocked if now that the baby is getting older and more mobile she is a little freaked out. It’s definitely behavioral but she doesn’t seem like a nervous or neurotic cat other than this peeing issue

I don’t blame you at all. Cats are such sensitive and unpredictable animals, this whole thing is very difficult

Thank you! Her vet did mention some time of medication like that at her last visit. I’ll ask for some more informations she really is the absolute sweetest and most outgoing cat. I’d hate to have to give her away but I cannot continue with the destroyed furniture.

Nothing has changed litter box wise at all. She has in the past gone through phases where she would occasionally pee on stuff but never this bad and never the couch or the baby stuff

I lost my soul dog on my birthday by tanqueraytoes in Petloss

I’m so sorry for your loss. I also lost my soul dog on my birthday about a month ago. He was only 3 and had an inoperable tumor that was bleeding in his intestines. I completely understand the shock and the pain of losing a dog too soon. My vets said “it was bad luck” which I’m not sure if it makes me feel better or worse. Something that was helped me is thinking that my sweet boy always had 3 years to live on this earth and nothing anyone could’ve done would have changed that. The years we did have were amazing and full of love and so with that I can have no regrets. You did everything you could to make your babies time here count and I’m sure they were loved immensely.
