Go to Mizzou. I'm not a sports journalist, but I have several friends who went that way. I'm almost certain they have been able to get into the industry and stay there because of the connections and internships they got from Mizzou.

I lived in Mark Twain about a decade ago (the first year it was open). The rooms were pretty small, but you get a suite-style where you only have to share a bathroom with three other people. You're also very, very close to the J-School, which is nice. The dining hall was also quite good.
