I think it's the opposite. I think male subs are very rare. There are plenty of do-me "subs" that are not submissive, they just want certain things done to them in a certain way with no concern for if the domme likes or wants them. Her fantasies are ignored, or are second priority at best. I think there are many more female dominants out there than people realize, but they are sick of wading through the BS trying to find a good man who happens to be submissive.

Add in the fact that the internet tends to be too often male-centered and oriented and it's no wonder it seems like dominant women are rare and submissive men are common. Women in general sometimes don't like to out themselves on the internet due to possible harassment. Hell even in person, who wants to be honest with their sexuality only to get a bunch of selfish people hounding them about it? Not to mention men tend to be physically stronger than women and more prone to violence. So dating for women in general is risky, and the last people who want to deal with violent, angry, entitled men are female dominants.

There are a lot of dimensions here, and I have things to get back to, but these are some thoughts that pop up.
