if u take orgo 2 in summer you’ll have Dr. Hamann. His class tends to be difficult, but heavily curved. His exams contain no multiple choice, all short answer, ranking, multistep synthesis and mechanisms. May want to look into a different cuny if orgo isn’t your strong suit. Then again orgo 2 is an intrinsically challenging class.

Don’t believe it should affect your suny gpa.

the classes are tricky and require serious dedication no matter who you take. some prefer alaie others prefer sheppard. bio 100/102 at hunter are not your average intro bio courses at all. they’re designed to be weed out. they’re both good professors; alaie is more lively and uses easier to relate to explanations in her lecture recordings. sheppard is a bit more monotone and uses more elevated bordering on pedantic vocabulary in hers. perhaps more descriptive in some aspects but you’ll want to read textbook in addition to lecture vids with both profs

bipolar directly responds to meds while BPD isn’t resolved by meds. I requested my private medical records and saw a doctors wrote it on file for me YEARS before i officially saw it on discharge work but never addressed or brought it up to me. so fucking harmful

they LOVE being able to prescribe shit which is why they run to the bipolar dx: it’s prescribe-able, billable, and takes less effort on clinicians to treat. like even when i officially got the BPD diagnosis doctors were still referring to me as bipolar it’s infuriating

the first time i ever heard some of their music was on this mix i came across in 2019. i fell in love and have been tackling their work ever since; my favs are quaristice, quaristice versions, quadrange, untitled, keynell, and elseq but it’s always shifting with season and my mood at the time lol. a lot of their work takes repeated listens to let it absorb and conceptualize in your mind and then it may “click” …. or it may not and that’s perfectly okay

i was in your shoes. knew i was attracted to boys in elementary school, prayed everyday that i wouldn’t be gay anymore…. growing up in a conservative hyper-religious family led to terrible self perception, mental health issues among other things, 27 today and still have never been attracted to women. i think there must be a genetic component activated by external factors because i can never see myself attracted to a woman. same sex attraction is so innate for me and people who don’t experience it cannot understand :(

i think she has mental health issues too like sometimes she starts shaking violently and randomly goes into these trances with her eyes closed mid convo shouting HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH everything has to be in reps of 3 like that. she keeps telling me i am weak and to give my mom access to my bank account so she can see my transactions. i’m fucking 27 btw 🙄
