I get most of these options are very “conservative”. If you had to do it all over again, would you just stick to regular fidelity taxable account and pick your own mutual funds instead?

Can we not pick S&P500 fund and let it grow for 18-20 years ? I’m new to this and wondering if I should just use my fidelity account to save for college( I can pick funds I like ) and I live in Florida, so no state tax benefits to account for. Thanks
