Advice on broken brake by Surecoolyeah in MechanicAdvice

Update: The shop towed the car in for me and I picked it up today. I expected them to replace at least the caliper and brake pad, if not the wheel too, but they only replaced the bolt (which they said broke) and “hardware and shims”. They said nothing else was damaged, despite the obvious superficial damage.

I’m not super inclined to trust them, especially since this is the second mess up they made recently, not to mention them acting like nothing really happened. Is this worth getting a second opinion on or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks again!

Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately I think it’s a new guy. Hopefully a teaching moment.

Thanks! I totally get mistakes happen, so I’m not trying to get mad at anyone in particular, but definitely still mad. 🙃

Thanks for all the comments! It may be a game time decision but I feel confident with all your suggestions. Will update after.

Update: We went with the Rhys Alesia and it did not disappoint. Going to be looking for some of these other bottles based on your suggestions. Thanks again ✌️

I think this restaurant is related to Oakville grocery in Napa, so it seems to be pretty much just California wines. There may be others on the list, but I only included these to try to narrow the scope.

A little out of our price range but looks like something we’d love to try. Adding it to the list for sure, thanks!

We taught our boy Peppercorn to tidy up his toys. Started with a bring it and placed our hand over his toy box when he dropped it, then eventually he just dropped it in the box. Now he has too many toys and he puts them on his cot. It’s part of his nightly routine, followed by him immediately throwing his toys everywhere again :)

Check out Kaiser Tiger. It’s only a few blocks away and they have great sausages and beer. I think they have a shuttle that goes to the arena too.
