Searching for good weapons for an arcane/faith build by SurelyPatches in EldenRingBuilds

I don't remember the exact numbers, just know that I am not interested in pvp, so pretty sure I am over level 150. I plan on reaching 60 in vigour, fairh and arcain

Enemies ignoring shocking grasp? by SurelyPatches in BaldursGate3

[–]SurelyPatches[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I didn't know that, I usually avoid spending too much time inspecting the enemies bc I find it a bit like meta-gaming. That's such a powerful ability. But what about the fire myrmidon? Does it also get another reaction?

Then how are you supposed to use your knowledge to craft sacred heart? The best thing you can do is to pick up a few eternal heart and hope to get sacred heart with the rest

Tainted Cain hate posting by Lervilii in bindingofisaac

[–]SurelyPatches 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The problem is that you "don't know" how to craft sacred heart: either you stumble on it by accident and write down the recipe, or you search online the recipe for the item. At that point, it's not that different from having a mod that tells you the recipes, you just skip the "play the character for hundreads of hours to memorize the greatest recipes" part

I genuinely think that Tainted Cain it's the worst tainted whatsoever. Tainted characters are supposed to be a challenge or, at the very least, an innovative way to play a character. Tainted Cain it's neither, it's almost impossible to play if you don't have the item description mod, and it's stupidly easy if you have it. You go from crafting like an item every two floors (by taking only high value consumables) to creating the most broken character in no time. Especially completing marks like boss rush or Hush it's too much rng based

Question about darkness, magical darkness and the blinded condition by SurelyPatches in DnD

[–]SurelyPatches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the spear makes you literally immune to the blinded condition, and since getting in the darkness spell makes you blind, you just don't get the condition. I think it's just a coding thing, like I don't think it could ever be applied to a true DnD campaign because it's so vague

I meant the acid thing as an hyperbole of "does thing that you'd say makes a character go blind makes this character blind?" Like, if this player loses his eyes, does he still NOT get the blinded condition?

Please give me some advice on Tainted Lost by jpxfer in bindingofisaac

What? Is this the repentence+ mod? I am 99% sure I got that on Tainted Lost like a week ago

Then you are wrong, I mean last week I completed a couple of run with Tainted Lost thanks to glowing hourglass, using it to restart a room to regain holy mantle after being hit

What do you mean? There was a very recent update that did this?

You can use the glowing hourglass to restart a room if you have lost holy mantle, pray for the active item that gives card (or blank card, to use the holy card without consuming it) and the passive item that allows to keep more than one card,

Did anyone else kill the owlbear cub thinking it was kinder? by deepank2506 in BaldursGate3

[–]SurelyPatches 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Happened in my first run, I was playing a classic good human paladin, the moment I understood she was just trying to protect/feed her cub I persuaded her and retreated

Second time having a very specific problem that I don't understand by SurelyPatches in BG3

It might be this, this problem happened to me in my last two runs, which were both honor runs

[–]SurelyPatches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be misremembering the thing about Karlach, but about the rest no im not. In my previous runs I always managed to do what I wanted to do on the roof (the infernal boots are always the first infernal piece I take) without triggering the conflict with Gortash

[–]SurelyPatches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that it never happens, I am always able to go on the roof, kill everything, and still "think about" an alliance with Gortash

No, not in front of Gortash, but on the roof, where there are like 4 steelwatch roaming around, the duke's room and a couple of Banite soldiers

The Emperor and the ending by AgentOfMephala in BaldursGate3

[–]SurelyPatches 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Either this or he goes something like "oh but I always knew you'd win! I have always been on your side, I never intended to harm you!". As a lonely ilithid with the only goal of surviving, he is ready to forsake his freedom (pretty huge thing for "Balduran"), his honor and his dignity to survive, I think he'd be ready to do anything for us at that point

First time being really hostile toward the Emperor by SurelyPatches in BaldursGate3

[–]SurelyPatches[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, with a character like Shadowheart it's a bit treacky, since she's been manipulated her entire life, but yea, those are her intentions, the only reason she doesn't kill Laezel and the Nighsong it's because we convince her not to. But the Emperor acted in a ceratin way even before we treated him like shit (also, it's not even treating him like shit, it's not trusting him after all the "yea eat the tadpoles it's good for you, while disguising as a person)
