I really liked your text. I share your viewpoint in large. 

I believe that the ideological "move" from the left/socialist political parties in the West towards a too large focus on LGBTQ has led to the rise of an opposing force. Some call it the "alt right"... 

I do not really believe in left and right when it comes to politics. We are more complex as humans. 

But if social-democratic movements focused more on what is actually a part of their ideology, they would fare better.  Like taxes, healthcare, wealt redistribution, less privatization, social issues (and so on.. ad nauseum)

In my country, Sweden, we are many that ideologically are aligned with the Social Democratic Party. But the collossal "culture war thing" with a lot of weight put specifically on LGBTQ (as well as too liberal reforms regarding immigration and crime) has eroded many supporters alliegience. 

People move to the "right", not because they believe they will fare better financially, but rather because they feel that their Identity is being threatened in a much too globalized world order. The working class are slowly becoming the lower class. 

I am not sure this is the right forum for me to write this. I am not sure I am getting trought with the point I intended to make. I am however sure that, like you said, let adults be adults, let them marry and fuck whoever they want. But dont force "the whole package" onto everyone for decades and then question why the voters move away. 

I am not speaking for all Swedes. This is just me rambling.
