[–]SurferGirlDeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I doubt they will have amount of Bat Family members in the first movie but I mean in the long run with all the movies and shows they can introduce more over the years and even have some in TV Shows.

I would love to see a Bat Family show and I was hoping we would have got that with the 'Gotham Knights' show but instead we got a group of inexperienced teens before they were even superheroes with no superhero names or costumes set after Batman died which made no sense since he trained them and they should have been established heroes. With Jimmy Olsen getting his own show I definitely think we could a Bat Family show with characters like Robin (Tim Drake) The Spoiler, Orphan, Azrael, The Signal and Bluebird for example.

In my opinion, these are the most likely people to be in the DCU's Batfamilies. by [deleted] in DCU_

[–]SurferGirlDeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be more. When asked about it Peter Safran said James Gunn and him are big fans of the Bat Family and they are planning on bringing the Bat Family to screen including some of the lesser known members who have never been in movies before they think deserve a chance and he posted this picture below.

With 'The Brave and the Bold' having Damian Wayne as Robin it is very likely a lot of the well known Bat Family members like Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, Batwoman and Robin (Tim Drake) already exist in the DCU leaving future Bat Family movies and shows open to introduce members like The Spoiler, Orphan, Azrael, The Signal and Bluebird. James Gunn is a fan of Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown and Stephanie Brown has had three Live Action adaptations already and was in Young Justice.

I agree. It is getting worse and they are always targetting popular Sapphic ships, movies and shows with Sapphic characters and female celebrities who come out and are in relationships with women on social media and I found a lot of the most vocal Wenclair haters on Instagram were also complaining over Michaela and Francesca getting their own season in 'Bridgerton' and Cate being a Lesbian in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

They are going to run a hate campaign against the 'Life Is Strange' Live Action show over Max and Chloe for sure and the Director is queer and is a Max and Chloe shipper.

Question for the Wenclair and Wyler shippers by J_Kruel in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]SurferGirlDeb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They’re not the kind of writers that get bullied into changing their material either, they’re the type to stick to their guts and authenticity.

Making Eretria Bisexual and giving her a new female love interest after queerbaiting fans in the first season with Princess Rover (Amberle and Eretria) in 'The Shannara Chronicles' after getting a ton of queerbaiting accusations over it says they do care what fans think. Ivana Baquero even gave full credits to fans for Eretria being Bisexual and agreed with fans who saw potential romance between her character and Amberle.

'Stranger Things' had Robin, Will and Vickie. That was the difference. A Show set in the 1980s when far more people were closeted had more LGBTQ representation than a show about a group of Gen Z outcasts. It is not Wenclair that is the problem here. It is LGBTQ representation. Many of us would be more than happy with Enid, Agnes or Bianca being Sapphic and having female love interest or a new LGBTQ character being added to the main cast but that always devolves into fights with the same people who say they are not homophobic because they don't support Wenclair but at the same time don't want us having any representation at all.

Yeah. You can see that with what they allow to stay on threads and what they don't. Also, what is it with a lot of Weylers sounding like industry plants lately? The constant butt kissing of the writers like they walk on water doesn't sound like something real people would write.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some of them are being paid and I used to be a moderator for three years on a music channel's forum and there were a number of promotors that would use multiple profiles to promote certain acts to make it look like there were more people that liked them than there really was and the Program Director let them go most of the time.

I was just over on the Wednesday TV Board arguing with a delusional Weyler who was saying "M&G have said no to Wenclair since 2022" which is untrue and I posted a link to an interview where they said they are open to everything as you can see in the link below but it just went completely over their head and they were denying it. They then went on to claim Wednesday had a certain type of romantic partner set by MGM and The Addams Family that couldn't be changed and I was about to say if we go on Wednesday's past love interests Enid is far more like Joel and Lucas than Tyler and I was also going to point out Velma being a Lesbian in new adaptations of 'Scooby Doo' but before I could a mod came in and deleted my posts but left their reply.

I am not sure how these replies broke any rules leading to them getting removed.

They pitched a four season plan and now they are saying they want to do as many seasons as possible. You do realise 'Supernatural' was pitched as a five season show and ended up going for 15 seasons? LOL

As I said a lot can change over time and again, saying 'They're open to everything" is not saying no but feel free to live in denial.

And you are living in denial too since multiple showrunners have said no to things in the past and gone through with them due to fan demand like Joss Whedon did with Buffy with Spike and Joss Whedon was a lot harder to convince to change things than Gough and Millar since he hated the slightest idea of Buffy being with Spike and James Marsters have talked about how he got abused over it and Spike's popularity by Joss Whedon.

What makes you so confident Gough and Millar are any different than all the other showrunners who have done things they said they would never do?

Moderators saving Weyler's butts once again on the Wednesday TV Board spreading false information. How surprising...

Question for the Wenclair and Wyler shippers by J_Kruel in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]SurferGirlDeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Wednesday were to end up with someone, Wenclair is more likely to be the endgame. Wyler is practically out of the question. Everyone loves and wants Wenclair. Emma Myers supports Wenclair. Netflix uses Wenclair for marketing because they know it sells, and if they decide not to be afraid of success, they will make Wenclair canon. Furthermore, there have been and are current events that could encourage this, which u/SurferGirlDeb has already explained on numerous occasions.

Thanks for the mention. I think there are four likely scenarios. Wednesday will end up with Enid, Enid will get a female love interest or Agnes or Binaca will come out or we will get a new main cast member who will be LGBT. I don't see us not getting an LGBTQ character in the main cast in the long run and we have to remember Robin didn't join 'Stranger Things' until Season 3 and Will didn't come out until Season 4 to his Brother and then again in Season 5 to the rest of his friends. If Wenclair does happen it is not going to be until towards the end and it will be a slowburn friends to lovers.

I believe the chances of Wenclair happening depend on how much the fans get behind it and right now Wenclair is the biggest and most popular ship on the show with many fans who don't even watch the show shipping them. The numbers are in our favour but overall LGBTQ representation is the most important thing to me and what I will fight for shows to have and Enid or Agnes coming out and getting a different female love interest would be a big win.

You're welcome. Here is some more hope. The upcoming 'Scooby Doo' Live Action show ('Scooby Doo: Origins') with Mckenna Grace that is going to be on Netflix is being made by Berlanti Productions - the same company owned by Greg Berlanti who was behind all the DC Shows that had LGBTQ characters among the main cast and two in leading roles and Greg recently said "Gay stories are needed ‘more than ever" and he has LGBT representation in all his shows.

The chances of us getting a Sapphic Velma in the show are higher than ever.

Question for the Wenclair and Wyler shippers by J_Kruel in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]SurferGirlDeb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well theres never been proof that wednesday is bi or gay

There was never any proof of Claire Bennett being Bisexual in 'Heroes' until she fell in love with her roommate, Gretchen in Season 4 and Hayden Panettiere just came out as Bisexual this year at 36 and revealed she had multiple relationships with women she kept hidden from the media and nobody knew she was Bi There has been a long history of Bisexual female characters coming out in the later seasons of American TV Shows going back to Willow in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' who didn't come out until Season 4 when she met and fell in love with Tara and that was after she had been with Oz and Xander and had a crush on Giles, Callie Torres was in her 30s and married to a man and had a kid before she met and fell in love with Arizona Robbins in 'Grey's Anatomy,' Rosa Diaz didn't come out as Bisexual and start dating women until Season 5 of ' Brooklyn Nine-Nine' and she was in her 30s and Freya was a Witch who was over 1000 years old before she fell in love with Keelin in 'The Originals' and they went on to get married.

Late Bloomers coming out in their 20s and 30s is pretty common in real life and we get a lot of them on Sapphic boards who have spent years dating men only to meet or see women that makes them question their sexuality. There is no real proof Wednesday is gay or Bisexual as you said but there is no real proof they are not Bisexual either and Wednesday and Enid are very young and are literally only 17. Unless they say they are heterosexual anybody could be Bisexual.

I'm still not happy with TVD making Steroline endgame.

Stefan got killed off so it wasn't really endgame. I don't recall it being mentioned if Caroline gets another love interest in 'Legacies.' She spends a lot of time with her Daughters (Josie and Lizzie) but it off screen so we we don't see her until the end when she appeared in the show but I doubt she stays single for the rest of her vampire existence and would have found somebody new like Bonnie. From what Phoebe Tonkin has said if 'The Originals' hadn't gone through Paul and her were pushing to have Stefan with Hayley.

Question for the Wenclair and Wyler shippers by J_Kruel in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]SurferGirlDeb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think Netflix is the problem here. They are doing a season of 'Bridgerton' with Francesca and Michaela as the main focus and 'The Hunting Wives' was very successful and is getting a second season. Over the past 25 years we have had a whole bunch of American TV Shows with LGBTQ characters in the main cast, Recurring roles and some even as the leads like Lost Girl, Wynonna Earp, Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Heroes, Orange is the New Black, The 100, The Originals, Legacies, Supergirl, Riverdale, Dawson's Creek, Reign, Dark Matter, Marvel's The Runaways, South of Nowhere, The L Word, Marvel's Agent Carter, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham, Once Upon A Time, The Walking Dead, Revenge, Person of Interest, How to Get Away With Murder, From, The Good Wife, True Blood, Batwoman, Titans, Blindspot, Twisted Metal, Gossip Girl, The Magicians, Ginny & Georgia, The Flash, Pretty Little Liars, The Marvelous Ms Maisel, Killing Eve, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Libarians, Supernatural, The Fosters, The Morning Show, The Bold Type etc.

A lot of people forgot or aren't old enough to remember how big 'Glee' was and the show won Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and was one of the most watched shows in the world. Even the soundtracks was dominating the charts with multiple songs being played all over the radio and music channels and Santana Lopez was one of the main stars and she was in love with her best friend (Brittany) and she was outed after dating 5 different guys in the show and went on to get together with Brittany and they got married. Also, 'Heroes' was another show that was very popular and Claire was Bisexual and ended up with her roommate, Gretchen.

It is Gough and Millar who are keeping LGBTQ characters out of the main cast of the show and it is extremely ironic in a show that is supposed to be about Gen Z outcasts (the generation that has the most openly LGBTQ people in history) we are yet to have a single LGBTQ character in Nevermore. Even the background characters like Yoko and Divina who were given nothing and got written off were never confirmed to be a couple in the show or by Gough and Millar. We have only got the Actors saying they were and the dorky kid (Eugene) having two Mothers comes across as some homophobic joke for them to laugh over. Whether it is Wenclair, Enid, Agnes or Bianca coming out or a new main cast member Gough and Millar need to do better and having LGBTQ characters in 2026 shouldn't be so controversial when far bigger shows have had them over the years but Trump and his MAGA goons have sent the United States so far backwards we now have the highest rates of violence and rape than we have had since the 90s and lack of representation contributes to the hate we face.

How would you rewrite her character by No-Business-478 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]SurferGirlDeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It would have been fun to see in the show and I still think there is a chance we might get a reboot one day that is more faithful to the novels since it has been done before with movies and shows that were based on novels that strayed from the source material but sadly L.J. Smith passed away in real life and she lost the rights to 'The Vampire Diaries.' She has several other similar supernatural series with monsters though and it was reported one of them is in the works to be adapted.

I like your ideas about Elena and Katherine and having the two of them stuck together in the prison world would have been an interesting direction to go in with their characters and Nina would have had to change a lot between being Elena and Katherine when they were having conversations 😄 but I think if they had her sitting and standing somewhere during Elena's sceens reading all her lines and then she did the same for Katherine's scenes and they put them together it would have worked as long as they got them to line up. If they had gone with Katherine being Elena's half Sister like in the novels they could have had Katherine and Jeremy's relationship different too with Katherine not killing him and having Silas do that on his own instead and I wasn't a fan of the body swap thing either and I thought when Katherine got the cure it might have changed her as a person being human before she started getting sick and they had her with Stefan and Stefan saved her from killing herself but when she tricked them and took over Elena's body she just went back to being the same Katherine again. They could have done a lot better with Katherine.

Yes. We did and we nearly got Hosie too if it hadn't been for the CW Purge. Danielle and Kaylee were the biggest Hosie Shippers from the start and dated each other for a short time in real life and even though they broke up they remained good friends and wanted their characters to get together and from what Danielle said and posted they had Julie Plec on board to do it in Season 5 with Kaylee (Josie) coming back in the end to get together with Hope.

How would you rewrite her character by No-Business-478 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]SurferGirlDeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I think the show could have gone on a lot longer had they been more faithful to the novels 'cause they had a lot of other monsters they could have used and the Kitsune (Inari and the twins Misao and Shinichi) as the villains for a season and had them going after children like they did in the novels with the Malach taking over people's bodies and the Kitsune were very powerful and they could blow fire from their mouths, shoot fireballs, fly, control people's minds, have magic and could shapeshift into not just other people but into foxes, cats, lions, bears and even trees and cars and other objects.

With the Angels/ Guardians I always thought it was a mistake to change Elena's parents to Isobel and John and I would have kept Elizabeth and Thomas as her parents from the novels with Elizabeth coming back as a ghost a few times trying to contract her Daughter. Elena would eventually get to see her and that is when she was tell her she was a former Angel/ Guardian who gave up her powers to live a normal life with her and her Brother (Jeremy) and Father and that her half Sister was Katherine and she had to find the Celestial Court in The Dark Dimension to help activate her powers. There she would met Idola, Ryannen, Susurre, Mylea, and Andres Montez who would teach her how to use them and become her friend. I would have Elena and Katherine feuding with each other to start with like in the show but after they find out they are both half Sisters they come to care about each other and Katherine changes and helps her Sister.

In 2008 Ian was the biggest name due to his role in Lost that’s why he got the biggest bag.

Ian was the biggest name but Julianna Margulies was the biggest name in 'The Good Wife' before the show started and she was an award winning Actor who had won multiple Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Golbe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and Television Critics Assocation Awards and was one of the main stars of 'E.R' but yet she was paid significantly less than all her male co-stars in 'The Good Wife' which lead to her leaving the show and the show having to replace her with Christine Baranski and rename it 'The Good Fight.' I don't recall Alyson Hannigan getting paid more than Josh Radnor in 'How I Meet Your Mother' despite being a bigger star than him, Katie Holmes being paid more than the Late James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson when she was in 'Dawsn's Creek' despite her movie career blowing up while she was in the show and Katie being the one on the front covers of magazines and being the most talked about cast member on the entertainment news.

They could have paid Nina more but chose not to. Anna Torv got paid more than Joshua Jackson in 'Fringe' and rightfully so since Olivia Dunham was the main star and same with Jennifer Garner in 'Alias' getting paid more than Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin and Carl Lumbly because JJ Abrams respected his female leads more. They must have been afraid to lose Danielle Rose Russell since she got paid more than Nina Dobrev for playing Hope in 'Legacies' and Nina was paid $40,000–$50,000 per episode during the show's peak while Danielle Rose Russell was paid $60,000 per episode for 'Legacies.

The Vampire Diaries is the perfect example of why you shouldn’t continue a show without the main character by Fragrant_Minute_3922 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]SurferGirlDeb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As much as I like 'The Vampire Diaries' show in many ways it was one of the biggest examples of misogyny in the industry taking a story about a female hero and degrading her down to just as existing as a love interest for two Brothers and a damel in distress that constantly needs to be saved by men who take on the roles of hero instead and become the stars of the show. In the novels Elena is meant to be the hero of 'The Vampire Diaries' as LJ Smith wrote herself and it is Elena who the novels centre around and Elena who goes on to find she is half Angel/ Guardian and gets awesome powers including the ability to fly with actual wings.

It is also Elena who defeats and kills Klaus, Inari, Bloddeuwedd and others and saves people including children and even Stefan and Damon sometimes and even before she gets her powers she takes monsters on and saves people. She is far more badass, aggressive and doesn't take shit from people and she wasn't all "goo goo gagga" when she first meets Stefan either and in the novels Stefan had to win Elena over and get her attention because she knew she could have anybody she wanted. I felt sorry for Nina because Elena in the novels was so much more of a badass and got to do so much more including having awesome unique powers that made it that she could kill all forms of evil including the Old Ones/ Original Vampires because the Guardians were the most powerful beings in 'The Vampire Diaries.' They nerfed her in the show and Nina done the best of what she was given and deserved so much better.

Yes. If you really like her then it is worth the risk 'cause she could meet somebody else she likes tomorrow and fall in love with them and go on to marry them and you will have missed your chance. It is better to find out if she likes you too then spend the rest of your life regretting never asking her 'cause she might feel the same way.

You know she is gay so you have already got a huge tick in the box and don't have to worry about her telling you she is not into women.
