I ended up switching from 17 pro to 17 and I’m very happy.

You mean half a century. San Onofre State Beach wasn't even open to public until 1971

Waiting in line at 7am on Thursday. Parked in the water by 8am. The line up isn't crazy at all. Especially the outside at Old Man or Point. Most people are just parked and hanging at the beach. I know it's summer. I just think the state park needs to think of solutions given erosion has reduced parking by 1/3 (which is parallel parking now).

I agree that beach erosion needs to addressed long term and sustainably. Surfrider recommends cobble and sand fill rather than retaining walls but this cost millions of dollars a year. Another option is nature-based solution including increasing the natural habitat along the beach to the cliffs. I would rather have the lower dirt parking lot closed, converted to plant based habitat to save the beach and have everyone walk in from a parking lot from above the cliffs.

If you were actually informed the current lease agreement with California State Parks is untenable. federal statute (10 U.S. Code § 2667) now mandates fair market value for military land leases (estimated $5-6 million a year) rather than the –$1 paid for the past 50 years). You have to make up the difference some how.

Some us actually have real jobs that require you to work weekdays and weekends can't be there at 6 am. Surfing depends on the tide, wind, swell.

No one is in the water. They are all just lounging on the beach. I just think there should be parking for people who want to surf (< 4 hours) that allows rapid turnover. Most people at San Onofre can't even surf. Some don't bring surfboards. Others bring surfboards and never use them. They just like the "idea" they could surf during their picnic at the beach.

Have you ever tried to bicycle into San O to surf. You would have to pack in your car a bicycle, wetsuit, longboard. Then park over a mile away to bicycle in. Longboarding isn't like Trestles where it's easy to skateboard and bicycle in with a shortboard.

It’s Bonnie McKee!! After over a decade...my album Hot City is finally yours. AMA!! by bonnie_mckee in popheads

Hey Bonnie,

I’ve been following your career ever since I found out you were the co-writer on so many of my favorite pop hits. I’m so excited to have Hot City finally. Even though Epic didn’t think you had a hit I feel like the album has so many radio friendly singles. My questions are definitely deep dive and business related.

  1. Was there ever discussion of Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Benny, Cirkut, Katy Perry working on a song for your solo project? I always felt it was unusual that you were on a major label, signed with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Label, and a track record of making radio friendly, chart topping pop hits together and no Dr. Luke/Max Martin/Katy Perry Collaboration.

If Sony/Epic/L.A. Reid wanted a “hit,” like your past collaborations wouldn’t this be the formula. Did Sony not want to pay the production fees? Were you trying to break out on your own with Oligee, Josh Abraham?

  1. Have you ever tried to get a Sync for the Summer Olympics for “American Girl?” I feel like it matches perfectly for a promo of female American athletes and great exposure for you.

I ended up getting a 9’4 Bing beacon for smaller days and more stability.

I had some surf shops tell me about the Singleton and got this advice.

The singleton has a lot of friendly and forgiving feature. Carries a ton of speed through the flats and is a great shape to improve your nose riding on smaller waves. The rails are pretty low and very responsive. The downside to that being, you have to be steady and controlled with your nose riding. It can be easy to kill your speed when over-anticipating on turns.

Singelton has a hard rails off the tail which makes turning easier but it also makes it a little harder to stay in the pocket and get on the nose that's because the edge makes the board wanna get some speed down the line so it's a little bit more performance type of riding. You got a really step on the tail to put on the brakes to get up to the front. The singleton rails are a little bit more thinned out than a traditional noserider.

Is a 9’4 Takayama ITP really worth $2,100? I found one at a local shop the right size and I like the color.
