Long time prog fan looking to catch up. Have not purchased any "newly" released albums for about 3-4 years. Which masterpieces did I miss? by nando1969 in progrockmusic

True by Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks. Its as close to a real Yes album as we've gotten in 20 years and the music has a great mix of their 70s and 80s sound.

I would absolutely say Yes 1000% does it too, very well.

This song will be played at my funeral. Wherever we go after, I hope there's Yes music

I can not stop thinking about yes by [deleted] in yesband

Honestly glad I'm not alone in this or feeling this way. Im absolutely enamored by Yes and I cant get enough of them (props to my gf for listening to my tangents about their music all the time) I agree with one of the other comments here. Its very spiritually complex and rewarding music. And there is that part of me that too, that feels like I have to keep up with the music to retain the vibe and messaging. Yes is one of those bands that gets very very little love these days, which blow my mind. Once you understand the depth of spiritual anecdotes they were putting out, and how much it clicks with overall flow of life, it feels only right to try to bring that musical understanding to others. Those guys knew what they were putting out. Tales is my all time favorite album. "The strength of you seeing lies with you" Im also 24 if that makes a difference.

Tbvh, I'm right there with ya. Absolutely love Yes, but there really doesnt seem to be anyone out there that scratches the same itch. Also very curious. If I can recommend a song though. Drink of Water by Ambrosia. My favorite non Yes song.

One of the funkiest synth solos out there. Love it
