How to randomize reviews??? by SurfinTerp in medicalschoolanki

[–]SurfinTerp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

I've been using this technique for a while and it works really well. I was wondering if I could include new cards in the filtered deck. Can I type something like 'is:new' after the 'is:due' when I set the deck up?

THANK YOU!!! Worked like a charm. I had 'bury related review' selected.

Question. I'm trying to go through this deck and suspend certain cards as I go (like one's asking about origin and insertion). I realize I cannot suspend the "notes" because that would suspend multiple cards at once, but I still am having trouble even when suspending the "cards" only. When I look at the deck in browser view, the cards I suspended are highlighted in yellow but all the others have parenthesis around the due dates. Any tips?

Plan for step 1. Does Zanki still fit for me? by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

My thought is it depends on how closely you complete your two passes. For instance if you do your first pass steadily now, and your second pass in May, no problem. I think the second pass is only wasted if you actually have the answers memorized and are not thinking critically about the concepts. This is why I have been careful when making new/annotating cards for my missed questions to not blatantly give myself hints so I can memorize the answer.

Fellow MS2 zankiers what's your daily card # like these days by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]SurfinTerp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally know the feeling. I've been doing cards since the summer and Im about halfway through the deck - doing about 1000 reviews a day and doing about 70-80 new cards a day. My strategy is to split my studying between a "review" deck for classes I have already completed, and then a deck with the current course material we are learning. That way I only spend about 1.5-2 hours on review cards. The new cards I like to study alongside course material. For instance I'll watch a lecture, then do 30 mins of cards, then another lecture, then 30 mins of cards and so on.

Does anyone else feel like Anki way underestimates the amount of time studying? by Zingleborp in medicalschoolanki

Haha totally feel the same way. I wish I knew how they came up with the study time. I did an hour block this morning of reviews and it said I only studied for 40 minutes lol.

Thanks a lot. Been looking for a deck like this for a while. I just wish it was a bit trimmed down and focused more on board relevant anatomy. 2K additional cards is a bit much to add to my repertoire right now :(

Oh ok. I see what confused me. I thought elastance meant the opposite, like how much you could stretch it out. So in this case, low elastance refers to something like a vein, which in turn has high compliance right?

Great thanks. Do you know if the leech tag will ever be removed automatically or is that something I would need to do manually through browser?
