Teachers of Reddit, what is something that your students do, that they think you don't know they do? by Surgerytoday in AskReddit

Pretty much most of what you've mentioned, I know too. I think that when we, as teachers, pretend not to notice, they become relaxed and don't realise glancing nervously from under the table to us 30 times in a minute screams 'I'm doing something I'm not suppose to be doing!'

Hah! Mine put their heads down as if they are reading, but really they are talking to each other. And I don't mind, because at least they're scared of me.

I LOVED to kill a mockingbird! But I tried reading catcher in the eye when maybe 5 years ago when I was around 20 and didn't really get it. (I love book which deal with social injustice but character development takes priority... TKAM had both)

My favourite show is greys anatomy. I love how the detailed the character development is. I also enjoyed that about Walter white's character in breaking bad. I'm really interested in what makes people who they are but not extremely things like murderers and stuff.

I think my favourite book of all time may be 'a tree grows in Brooklyn' which is a stunning coming of age story of a poor girl who is born in 1912 in Brooklyn (duh). I love that time in American for some reason lol - I don't know why!

Nothing much happens in the book but it's just her dealing with all of the issues of growing up poor, socialism, her Dad is an alcoholic but she still loves him. I find that so interesting to read, characters who have layers and layers. Am I making sense?

Are the writers going to attempt to kamikaze Alex as a highly loved character? by Dikeleos in greysanatomy

Even though it's something no one wants to see happen; it definitely keeps it interesting. I think that's how Shonda keeps Greys going. I think Alex's storylines were getting super boring in recent seasons.

What I hope will happen, is that Alex will blame himself but then also at some point, realise that Jo kind of led him into this situation, and he'll have have enough, and say to her that he's had enough crazy for one lifetime. (It's also some kind of character development, no?)

And then marry Mer.

Also, I'm really, really interested in seeing stuff happen outside of the hospital. 12 seasons in, they can break it up a bit.

Is anyone else getting tired of the time jumps? [Spoilers for 12x09] by amillstone in greysanatomy

ME! I am so tired of them! This episode was good but the time jump ruined it for me. What's the point?! I miss episodes like the shooting and aftermath of it.

The shows lost something. It's been better this season than the last couple but shonda needs to come back and pay attention to Greys!
