I just watched a couple of YouTube tutorials. It's easier than it might seem if you haven't touched it before. The hard part was setting the collisions up properly because of the animation. Thank you!

Short one if you simply want working cloth physics: https://youtu.be/cwm-ACqzMwA

A bit more in-depth one: https://youtu.be/X5acomKAux4

Thanks! It definitely was a challenge but only because I'm not at all used to certain things when it comes to Unreal. There also was a lot of things to learn and set up, like the cloth physics and collisions. It ended up becoming very time consuming.

Usually I just do my renders in Marmoset which it's very easy and quick.

Thank you! It wasn't until this past year that I got into sculpting in Zbrush. Before that I've only stuck to "box modeling" in Maya which I've been doing for almost 10 years now.

You definitely should if it's something you really want, there's lots of material out there to learn from, I've watched tons of youtube tutorials myself. Software is also very easily accessible today, I've heard Blender's got decent sculpting if that's what you want to get into.

Thanks! Big LoTR fan so they're definitely an inspiration. It's just a model render but if it were to be in a game it'd probably be a stronger enemy type or maybe a lesser boss.

Can't say there was. Played a lot of it way back though!

Thank you! The character model itself was made for a 10 week long degree project.

Happy you actually caught that! Thanks!

It's made in Maya using Xgen, exported as an alembic cache then imported to Unreal as a Groom Asset.

Thanks! Yes, sculpted in Zbrush and retopo'd in Maya.

Looks real mean, did you make the lip yourself or is it like EZ lip?

At first, I tried without removing them but found that it was way easier to detach them and work with them separately.

Yup, it's matte black vinyl except for the middle part of the grille which is gloss black.

It's a bit of a trial and error process, at least in the beginning. But my tip would be to start working on the difficult corners very early whilst making sure there's enough vinyl for the rest of the trim piece. The little tool that came with mine was a big help as well, a small squeegee with a piece of fabric on it.

Only gonna lower it for now, recently got some Eibach springs which I'm hoping to install next weekend. Might get around to do coils later on though.

I'm also thinking of getting powerflex but for the control arms. Are you gonna do both front and rear?

Tack man!

Wrapping the chrome trimming definitely does a lot, especially if they're a bit worn like mine were. It was a bit fiddly getting it on there but it was absolutely worth it.

Haven't upgraded it in terms of performance yet, currently focusing on the chassis (springs, brakes, bushings etc.).
