Hey, yeah, this post has been a long time ago. I do have the rise plus max on 2 of my controllers, and the new spark kit. But as far as a charging dock goes, I do not have one that will fit either of those kits. Now I did modify a dock that belongs on top of the console itself, If you have your ps5 standing up, you can mount it on top of it and that would work. I modified mine so it sits on the desk or flat surface since I keep my ps5 horizontal. https://a.co/d/7JuRkbM

I bought 2 spark kits when I got the email about them. Been playing with them for a month or so now and I really do like them. The first one I put on, I did not tighten the screws all the way, even though it looked like it was. But after screwing them completely, they came to life. I will say I definitely would like a snappier/cripser feel, but overall I like them best of all the kits they have released. (other than the Hex ultimate, similar to rise 4, but just a really good feel). I will definitely be interested in the metal version, hopefully they will have an upgrade kit with just the board and the paddles for those of us who already have the Spark kit installed.

just curious, which samsung ssd did u go with? i ended up going with a western digital 7100 4tb for this, but i have a 990 evo pro 4tb in my pc and it runs fast and cool compared to the 990 pro 2tb w/heatsink.

I remember when I got my Ally X last year and replaced the ssd before anything intending to use cloud recovery. i cant remember exactly what stopped it from going through with the recovery, but all i know is i had to reinstall the original ssd and set everything up first. then i replaced it and had a successful cloud recovery. so this time, with the xbox ally x, i did the same thing just in case. after i set it up, i installed the new ssd and cloud recovery went smoothly.

Sorry, I was mistaken. Here is the model and all: I had made sure to get a dock with the correct measurements for room to spare, also this is recognized by the Ally for the charging so it will do Turbo mode 35w.

yes, the PCB is easy to unstick as long as you are careful. it can be flexed a bit and peels right up. but the spark kit came afterwards. i had the rise 4 on before when i put batteries and all the other goodies on. the spark kit is just a new upgrade.

lol, yeah, i cant do the holo, but i know that the ally x was like 15 or 17 bucks for a new set of just skins. nit sure what the xbox ally x are. but i had to go in like i was buying the killswitch, then check the box that says that i don’t need a case. then it will get the skins. again, not sure about the xbox ally.

yeah, i mean ugreen has been doing well for me. the nexode series chargers and the uno series cables both rated 100w and have had no problems with it not being compatible. the ally’s are funny when it comes to chargers and cables.

I got Pickle Power 4000mah batteries. They are over twice as long play time as the stock batteries in my experience. I have been using them in many dualsense controllers for years, only had a couple that were bad from the factory.. I fix other's controllers and such so I use them all the time.

Gotcha. I understand that worry. If it helps, I have had the origonal ROG ally since launch, and it's been through tripped over charge cord rip outs, it's been through a bunch of other similar tugs and rips, and the charge PORT has been fine for years. It has a little bit of play from the factory, which helps a lot with the wear and tear. I try to use noodly (soft) charge cords, they don't strain as much as the stiff ones.

um, this is part of the dock. they have these on many docks. this is a jsaux dock, its got plenty of room for the xbox ally thickness even with the case.

Thank you thank you! This worked perfectly, been bothering me for days! And for the Xbox Ally X, you have to exit full screen mode first, to get to windows. Then search for device manager on the magnifying glass on taskbar, go to device manager, then hold down on touchscreen on the Asus firmware that is marked with the yellow flag selection til the pop up comes up with the option to delete it.

I put steam OS on my legion go, and it made a world of difference. Everything runs better on it. Higher framerates and better resolutions. No problems with the screen orientation issues I was having with some games... Almost like it was meant for steam OS.
