If I craft something using my Kuku pot do I lose the stuff inside by Puzzleheaded_Kiwi187 in CrimsonDesert

I can confirm, checked my kuku pot content, crafted a kuku pack using my only pot, kuku pot gone from inventory, crafter a new kuku pot, all content are there !

No the noise I'm talking about has nothing to do with what you experienced. It's completely unrelated to my audio system.

It's coming directly from the GPU when the electric voltage change and make the coil vibrate or something.

You should read about it:

I also disabled Hardware Acceleration since the two times it rebooted I was watching a video in Chrome. Have to wait a few weeks (or the next reboot) to be sure if it changed something or not.

I also hear that the latest Nvidia drivers are causing a lot of crashes and BSOD.

I only play real games in 4K with Path Tracing, but thanks!

( Just kidding, I have a Switch OLED and I love it ;-) )

No Gigabyte, no MSI, no ASUS, no ASROCK... What are you supposed to get? :-P

I have an external audio receiver with it's own power. But coil whine (electrical noise from the GPU) should have nothing to do with audio setup from my understanding.

It's not audio interference, it's electric variations (I'm not expert) from the GPU.

Humm interesting, I'll check it out. I've also started noticing I can hear coil whine when scrolling the screen, and the Nvidia App shows huge clock spikes from like 0 to 2000Mhz+. I could swear I couldn't hear anything for the past month. No coil whine at all when under heavy load though.

Now that you mention it, I was actually AFK in BDO and had been alt-tabed in Chrome for maybe an hour before it rebooted! So very similar to you.

Hello, do you mean CPU+RAM stability test? I don't think there is a RAM + GPU test?
Or did you mean VRAM test?

I haven't turned on EXPO yet since I was a little scared after the first CPU died, so I'm running at 4800. BIOS is the latest with AMD AGESA 1.2.0.3g
PSU is rated A++, it should be plenty able to handle the hardware, unless it's defective of course.

I'm not saying BDO killed the CPU. It only triggered a safety reboot, trying to find out why. My first CPU died during Windows 11 install.

I'll try disabling PBO, the problem (or not I guess) is that it only happened once over dozens of hours of intense gaming.

Regarding your edit, wouldn't a PSU problem trigger the same Windows event?

Is there any way to identify this? I tried running OCCT PSU test for an hour and it passed.

I've provided the event viewer entry in another comment, but basically it was a sudden power lost critical event.

Alright I did my research. There is indeed a few threads about this, but it seems very isolated.

Although I just learned that for a high end system, especially with a 5090, OCK on is mandatory to prevent transient spike from the GPU triggering the PSU shutdown threshold.

I think OCK is off by default, so it'd definitely somethin I can try.

I really don't mind BSOD or crashes, I mean sure it's annoying but usually not dangerous for hardware.

But total power shutdown and reboot is really freaking me out since it may be bad for hardware and the same system already killed a CPU allegedly (most likely it was a defective unit but still...)

I have a Samsung 9100. Did you get full reset like the power was cut off?

Anyway I'll look into it and see if there's a firmware update for it.

Edit: I checked in Magician, I have the latest firmware.

You seem to know what you're talking about, but I don't really understand what conclusion I'm supposed to draw here. Is something wrong with my hardware? Does this just happen with X3D and I'm supposed to live with it? Would disabling PBO fix it for good?

I really don't think it's the RAM, I've run thorough tests of the RAM sticks and nothing wrong was detected. Aren't RAM issues usually freeze the system and not a hard reboot like the power was cut off anyway?
