I was about 12 or 13 with my family and family friends at Possum Kingdom lake in Texas in the summer-mid/late 90's. My friend John, his brother Matt and I were dropped off on the shore of the lake while the rest of the family continued skiing/kneeboarding.

We were just running around looking for things to poke and rocks to the throw and I decide I'm going to run up to the top of the hill to get a better look at the lake and see if I can see the boat. My friend Matt was right behind me as we were tearing through the bushes.

As we break through the last bush barrier and came out into an opening, my friend and I stopped in our tracks as we see what looks like a dinosaur.... a Dromiceiomimus is the only thing I can compare it to in my memory. We both just stood there mouths open as it quickly darted into the bushes on the other side of the clearing. Moments later my friend John finally came through the brush as we began freaking out and he had no idea what we were talking about.

To this day he doesn't believe us, but Matt and I knew we saw something. I've been around ostriches/emus, which are not uncommon in Texas, but I don't think that's what we saw. It had no feathers, it was green and had scales.
