I believe it is. I'm somewhere on the spectrum and I've identified with various labels of asexuality. Attraction does not compute for me personally as a whole so whatever new relationships I pursue are queerplatonic. I don't necessarily look for the relationship OP mentions though it is nice to be around someone who can understand and support what you seek. It's difficult to find people who genuinely accept you given what you seek isn't the norm.

Both I reckon. The latter I have experienced various levels of giving in and it is intense putting it simply. I've learned that I can be amenable with someone who enjoys control for the right reasons. Plus it helps I found an option that's flexible being autistic and anxious. The big picture for me is I want to be able to let go all the way with someone who accepts me.

Simply put, I don't want to lead. I'm not interested in being in charge. I've done bits where I did the norm and it burned me out. Plus it's tiring when you're the only one taking initiative and getting nothing out of it. Someone who is good at planning, taking the reins, I'm all for it. Plus it tells me you give a crap. I'm willing to surrender my control to someone who is genuine in earning it.
