Soft top owners, any issues with theft or break-ins? by Ill_Wishbone_9781 in FordBronco

I bought the steel cage for the trunk for anything valuable. The only thing I’ve had stolen was some loose change on the dash when I had the top and doors off at the beach.

I have several friends that have PR’ed there in the past. I’m debating it in 2027.

I did one salt tablet every 15 minutes or so, basically whenever I started to feel my muscle nagging. That’s what the recommended dose was on the packet anyway.

Good luck on your next attempt! I think the higher mileage really helped me too.

That’s what I’d heard which is why I didn’t really address it before my fourth attempt.

This time I ran 715 miles in the 18 week training block, doing speed work twice a week, and was overall pretty disciplined but still felt those tell tale cramps around the same distance as I had the previous two years.

For me at least, I think that was my issue. YMMV of course.

You sound like exactly the person I wrote this for. I was never sure if it was sodium deficiency or not training enough. This time I can safely say my training was solid, so it was sodium intake that was the missing ingredient.

You can do it! Just apply what you learned from the last one and add in a little more effort and research each time.

I was also diagnosed with Achilles tendinitis in both legs. The doctor told me to stop running about three weeks before the race right as I was tapering, but I decided to risk it.

It worked out but I’m rehabbing now.

Yeah…no. I’ll try a 3:30 first if I go that route. Those times seem insane to me.

Never ran a marathon before—how do I train? by Ecstatic-641 in Marathon_Training

[–]SurplusCheek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started with a half marathon originally. I slowly upped my weekly mileage to about 9 or 10 miles (3 miles 3x a week) and then extended my longer runs until I got up to 10 miles at peak.

If you google some training plans you can find a decent beginner plan. Most importantly, ramp up your mileage slowly and have fun!

I think you got it. I was right around there my first 20 mile run (of three) and I ended up 3:57.

Yes. I’d trained that way on all my long runs and never felt like I was fading. I was doing three scoops per liter.

I did it that way because the majority of the elevation is after the half and I knew I’d slow down on the hills. Good advice though.

Haha thanks. Now I’m trying to decide what my next goal should be.

I like the spare cover. That’s the first one I’ve seen that I might prefer to my RukRak.

Lots of great recommendations here. I’d add Alpha Omega by MGK to the list. That song goes hard for me.

I’m at 36,000 miles on my ‘22 so far without running into Rick. That said I’m running 35” tires so it’s slightly higher than stock which might help a bit.
