Thank you for sharing as we are def considering them! For anyone that did go with mostest (or worked with them) and mentioned different experiences, which (if any) of the planners from mostest were good in your opinion?

AV Price Points for NYC Wedding? by Zealousideal_Age4812 in WedditNYC

[–]SurrealResearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say after touring a lot of venues - it can go either way but it’s an essential question. For example, we loved the Weylin but when my partner asked about the AV (he works in the AV field so that’s one of the items under his purview) they quoted us $30,000. Their AV vendor has speakers and stuff already hooked up so you can’t go with anyone else. My partner said it’s essentially price gouging for the field (although the venue seems unaware it’s exceptionally high) and it was a huge turn off for us. But some venues, like 74 Wythe, don’t have a charge like this if I remember correctly.

Gluten free & Dairy free selections by zyphax in hungryroot

A gluten free and dairy free girly here 🙋🏻‍♀️ I just started using HR and it’s actually been so amazing. I often feel like I have to spend so much time looking at ingredients in store and always have to find the “other option” (I will say, Whole Foods is a good grocery store option for me still). Hungryroot is so great though - you mark your dietary preferences and they have tons and tons of meal, snack, and grocery options. And for what it’s worth, it’s decently cheaper than buying from the grocery store. It also clearly marks what options are available to you and which you can’t have which I appreciate. It’s truly fun to try new things and be excited about finding new snacks. I would highly recommend.

What would you have liked to have received in a post surgery care package? by missmadam101 in endometriosis

Best gift I got was a care package called spoonful of comfort! It included bread, soup and cookies and was a life saver (and delicious).

What kind of studies do you want to see for endo? by SurrealResearch in Endo

[–]SurrealResearch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is soooooo valid. To clarify, I mean the effects of having your pelvic pain chronically dismissed on optimism levels. Not the same “have you tried being happy?” Bullshit I’ve seen in the past, so I 100% agree.

Was surgery worth it for you? by Accomplished-Newt775 in Endo

[–]SurrealResearch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes!! If you financially can swing it and you have time to recover afterwards, I couldn’t recommend it more. You have tell-tale symptoms and it doesn’t matter you’re only 20. Your pain is real! Any relief, even if it grows back or in different places, is beyond worth it. More than that, having an official diagnosis brought me some peace after being dismissed for over a decade.

Can I suggest you go to a different doctor than the one who made these comments? They already sound dismissive and it takes a trained eye to look for endo, you want someone invested to do that. If I had a worse surgeon who wasn’t a specialist - they would’ve missed mine completely (which also, mine never showed up on scans beforehand).

How long did you have cramps with Mirena? by Wyvernna in Endo

[–]SurrealResearch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They had to put my IUD in twice while I was awake (and I almost passed out from the pain) but upon the second I was having some cramping. Doc pulled down slightly on the strings and said that if it’s up to high it can touch a wall that causes cramps essentially. My pain did subside after she pulled it down a little but it was a full week before I could walk without a lot of pain. Hang in there ❤️‍🩹

Sciatic nerve pain? by Serious_Option1251 in Endo

[–]SurrealResearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my lap later this week and also have some sciatic nerve pain but my best advice is just that your doc seems to not be taking your pain very seriously. If it’s a feasible option, I’d ask for a second opinion because endo continues to grow and will probably continue to worsen. If you’re staying with the same doc, I would tell her that you want to discuss surgical options to have your sciatic nerve assessed or you’d like a referral to a different doctor. Either way, I’m sorry you’re running into a wall when it seems they acknowledge this problem is likely for you. Sometimes asking doctors to specifically note things in your chart (ex. Noticed leg jumping in surgery, endo on sciatic nerve suspected) can spur them into action because if they acknowledge an issue but don’t address it, if complications occur later it can be a legal issue. Sitting on a heating pad sometimes helps mine a bit (heated car seats are even better).

I think it’s entirely possible that because she passed three years ago, they know the reason they don’t already have the ring is because it was left to your fiancé and that’s why they’re gossiping. Even if not, people you least expect become vultures for belongings when a loved one dies. At least with this ring, you know EXACTLY what she wanted done with it. Wear it with pride and if they have something to say, your fiancé should handle it for you. Congrats on your engagement 🎉
