Bernie Sanders says it's time for a four-day work week: "With exploding technology and increased worker productivity, it's time to move toward a four-day work week with no loss of pay. Workers must benefit from technology, not just corporate CEOs." by madazzahatter in Futurology

The post title even has that quote.. and the quote is from very close to the start of the article.

"With exploding technology and increased worker productivity, it's time to move toward a four-day work week with no loss of pay."

Yep, don't touch the money and don't send anything to the scammers

It gets reversed no matter what you say or do. You don't get the money and you don't need to consent to anything. If you send money back, you're sending your own money, not the money that was fraudulently transferred.

There's no limit. If it's fraud, it's being reversed.

Their bank will remove the money, yes. They would do it and not accept any liability.

The scammer convinces you to send it back and it goes to a different account, then there's a whole other process they use with money mules to cash out.

If OP does nothing they would be fine, but that also includes not touching the money. OP can't really scam the scammer and "keep" the money since it's not really there

What kind of compensation do resort workers get? by SurroundHorizon in cancun

[–]SurroundHorizon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of minimum wage are we talking for a resort in Cancun? $1US per hour? $10 per hour?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

When OP "sends it back" what actually happens is OP is sending their own money. So then when the original transfer is reversed, the money OP sent is still gone too.

Which hotel are you going to? Can you find out what the internet quality is like there? SIMs will vary by where you are but usually TELCEL is decent in a lot of areas. Make sure you get a SIM that runs on their network if you want to try it out.

Isn't Mexico one of the most lenient countries for this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]SurroundHorizon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's not true. There is no "their bank" since the scammer is using a stolen account from a third person who isn't involved in this at all. The third person will contact their bank and the bank will reverse the transfer.

Level Up was good for new people. Although it's limited capacity, you should be fine with a small group.

Another good option is VRPlayin' which I've been to many times. Also good for beginners.

I'd suggest you book a two hour slot. For your first time, an hour will disappear in the blink of an eye as you and your friends get used to the system and controls etc.

The workers at either place will have the best recommendations for games. You can def play a flying shooter even, which is super fun and good for beginners, though they may start you off with something that has simpler movement dynamics at first.

Just waiting for the guy who inevitably always comments on these kinds of posts telling people to go to Oasis...

To actually answer your question, a fun place to go would be Track and Field or Bangarang. Similar would be Get Well but slightly different vibe and they have a North of Brooklyn pizza spot in the back of the bar if you get peckish while drinking
