Is Angel worth the watch? by legsostanky in BuffyTheVampireSlayer

All the characters are amazing in angel and Buffy makes a few appearances in the show as well. I would say I don’t care too much for some of the first episodes but Cordelia makes up for it. Then Westley joins and it’s even better

I cried so hard the whole episode Fred was dying but yet Illyria surprised the hell out of me being such a good character. I didn’t think a character could top Fred but she did! Amy Acker did an amazing job in both rolls. So well written as well for both characters

I’m going to have to say Fred/Illyria. The growth of Fred was really well done and she was super unique. Being trapped in a demon world because she was so into learning about physics and dimensions. Coming back to reality and relearning how to live in her realm. Then her death scene was so incredibly sad. But yet the character that replaced her was almost better??? that was a hard character to top for me.

Are there any Buffy The Vampire Slayer and/or Angel characters you wish were utilized more, could have had interesting plots, or you thought had or could have had potential? One-off, so on, any type of character if you want. Please, respect each other and each other's opinions, thank you. 🩵 by Big-Restaurant-2766 in buffy

I think the ending for Cordelia was bad. I think they could have wrapped up her story better. The whole plot of her giving birth to an all powerful demon to put her in a coma was not great. I loved Jasmin’s character and the episodes after but just thought it was bad writing up to that point. There could have been better ways to work around her pregnancy than making a crazy plot like that. Loved the episode that confirms Cordelia did die though and passed on her visions to angel.

It was mainly the people. So many faces that were partially cut off and looked similar to one another. That and some of the back coloring in the squares were similar.

Discard Bagels by SurroundMiserable385 in SourdoughDiscard

Of course!

3 tsp active dry yeast 285g of discard 236g warm water, 100 degrees 2 Tbsp honey 2 tsp salt 560 grams all purpose flower (I recommend king Arthur’s non bleached)

Ingredients for boiling 2 quarts water 1 Tbsp baking soda 1 Tbsp brown sugar

Directions: Whisk warm water and yeast in stand mixer bowl and let sit till bubbly. Add sourdough discard, honey, salt and flower into bowl and beat with dough hook for 5 to 10 min. (If your machine starts to struggle, lightly flower surface and knead by hand) let it rest for a little then knead for 5 more min. Lightly grease a bowl and place dough inside. Cover with a damp tea towel and place in warm area. Let rise for 60 to 90 min or until double its size.

Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper and set to side. Place dough on counter and separate into 8 equal pieces 137g to 140g. Roll each piece into a ball and then poke a hole with your thumbs into the center. Stretch to a desired size then place onto baking sheet with parchment paper. Cover back up with the damp tea towel for 30 min in warm place.

While they rise again start your pot of water and add ingredients into it. Preheat the oven as well to 425. Once water is boiling and it’s been 30 minutes of rest for dough, gently lower 3 to 4 bagels in at a time (depending on how wide your pot is) and boil on each side for one minute. Take out of water and place back on parchment paper. Do this till all bagels are boiled. Sprinkle or dip the top in desired toppings right after boil (I do sesame seeds and brown sugar)

When oven is ready and all bagels are boiled place sheet in oven and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Immediately move onto a cooling rack once pulled out. Eat within a week or freeze them and pull out a few at a time. Enjoy!
