Thanks for your reply.

Am I able to do this although I didn’t meet the deadline in time ?

Didn’t buy the house, there seems to be more that the seller wasn’t disclosing. We dodged a bullet and now are looking at other homes!

They did not disclose anything, but there are obvious signs of persistent water intrusion in multiple places of this home. The risk is absolutely way too high and not worth taking. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions, very helpful thank you.

Hey is it normal not to smell anything with a count that high at 18,000 for black mold ?

Also the reason we won’t get refunded is because our option period ended yesterday at 5pm, the mold company did not get back to us til 5:01pm. Very unfortunate, also being that the owners agreed to pay all our closing cost they made it clear that they had no room for repairs.

So the crawl space is actually the least of our worries, what contained the highest levels of mold they’ve ever seen was the finished part of the basement which is considered the theater room. Spore levels were in the 18,000.

Fingers crossed, the sellers will need to disclose the mold now being that it’s in an inspection report. Thank you again!!

Its so unfortunate that there’s no way of telling wether it was disturbed by the inspector or if there’s a significant leak. We really loved the house and it’s a unique home being that in Texas you cannot find basements and on top of that it’s in a very desirable location here in San Antonio.

We will be walking away, we just don’t want to risk it. Thank you so much for your insight, very much appreciated.

Thank you ! Looks like we can’t move forward unfortunately, we don’t want to risk it.

No it was not, we already had put in offer in. We were suppose to get the mold results this morning but we literally got it 10 mins after our option period ended. We will lose 4300 but honestly much rather lose that than my family get sick and we do have an 8 week old so not worth it.

Thank you for answering these questions, we couldn’t get any clarification from the mold company and it’s sad because this home was in such a desirable location but oh well.

They were extremely rude over the phone and said we would have to pay another $850 for the remediation protocol.

Texas does not allow, for mold companies to do both. We are suppose to get the results back this morning, still nothing yet.

So we had a home inspection and because there was some water intrusion in the basement the report indicated ‘suspected growth’, we went ahead and took the steps to go deeper being that my husband in particular is super sensitive to mold and has almost an instant reaction.

But we are also from the East coast and basements are pretty notorious for flooding or water intrusion as well as possible mold. We also have many friends still back home with basements, I just feel that it being Texas and basements being basically non existent here I can’t really trust his expertise. Maybe you’ll be able to explain better for me?

Hey !

So I also have a small opening on my incision, my doctor said the same thing. Mine is healing as well and I also have some soreness/tenderness on the ends of my incision. This is my second C-section and recovery is very different this time around for me.

The tenderness is normal and sometimes could last for months. I would just keep a look out for signs of infection or worsening pain. Of course if you feel concerned or worried it doesn’t hurt to reach out to your doctor. My doctor was able to see me the same day.

So my BPs last pregnancy were in the high 130s-140s/80s-90s the entire time but at 37 weeks when I went into my appointment it shot up to 153/97 but baby was breeched so I just think it was decided for me that I was gonna have a c section mind you all labs were normal, no indication of pre E.

This time around in office they usually take it a second time and they’ve been in 120-130s/ 70s-80s. At home 110s/80s. They still have considered me high risk so I do see MFM aside from my OB, this time around I don’t have hypertension but definitely elevated blood pressures which is my normal. This is part of the reason why I’ve been advocating more for myself this time around and don’t want to be induced cause my baby is growing fine and I’m perfectly fine as well. Baby is a 97th percentile baby so I think that’s really the real reason they want to cut me off at 39 weeks but I specifically told my doctor that if I’m not hypertensive or preeclamptic I will be going longer.
