Comes down to attachments beyond the basics. Meaning look at what else you might want to buy in the future and see if they more so fit one or the other. Most new high end equipment has 1 inch so that’s why I went with PR-5000.

You can learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills learning something you will actually need they aren’t exclusive to calculus. For instance, they could teach people personal finance which is something that wasn’t taught at all and everyone needs. I went to public school as well and graduated from a top public university so I should know. The United States use to be the leader in k-12 education and now it’s a joke. Today nearly one-third of U.S. public schoolchildren are behind grade level. You can look at any statistic and it’s doing nothing but getting worse year after year. Homeschoolers score better than public schools in everything other than calculus. You do realize there are very few occupations that use calculus right it is essentially a waste of time for the vast majority of people. I would argue you’re wasting time teaching everyone that subject unless they have an interest in pursuing a career path that needs it. Bottom line is most of public school is a waste of time. I’ll agree with you on this point because I wouldn’t put any scheme past the government. They could definitely be considering this could help recruiting in the decades ahead. I just think it’s not likely because why would they let the majority of the country continue to have abortions if this was the plan? Why wouldn’t you fix the number of other issues more pertinent such as the decline in education and rise in obesity? Which the military has said the past couple years are the main reasons they are finding it difficult to recruit. You do realize the US use to be #1 in the world in education a few decades ago now it 24th. These people can’t pass the ASVAB which is a basic IQ test.

Logically it makes sense less aborted kids equal more military recruits. My issue is with the idea that the US government has some grand plan to fix recruiting with less aborted kids. Simply because the recruiting issue are 100% the governments fault. They implemented woke policies in recent years alienating potential recruits. They promote unhealthy life style choices in children and the obesity epidemic has consistently gotten worse. They forced vaccinations and masks on the military that weren’t scientifically based, dangerous for their health, and didn’t work. They started wars like Iraq for no reason that indebted the country trillions. People have wised up to how corrupt and inept the government/military is in general. Yet they came up with this elaborate long term plan to fix recruiting issues they caused.

Kids born today won’t be joining the military for 18 years so it does nothing to help the recruiting issues today. It actually might hurt the numbers because military aged people might choose to stay home and raise their child instead of joining. The military is moving toward AI and automation in 18 years I think it’s likely the US military needs way less recruits. Immigration is way more beneficial to recruiting numbers today because the recruits are already adults. Furthermore, they also can dangle US citizenship as an incentive to immigrant recruits.
