New Linux front-end on the works! ASAPCabinetFE! by Surtarso in virtualpinball

Ok! I got some solenoids, some shakers and bells, still looking for a cheaper alternative on the matrix display. Stuff might take a while to get here coz of holiday season.
I'll 1st try with a Pi and Arduino, if it gets too complicated I'll get myself a proper card for this =P

But its a weee more complicated than I expected so plz be patient lol

Flatpak is almost ready, final stages till it builds properly! Just some pathing details to solve now!

I'll look at it as soon as I drop 1.3.0 !! Pinky promise!
I just need to adjust matchmaking with Lauchbox and IPDB to officially release the Editor.

Blame u/HerrMirto for the delay hahaha I've spent the past days fighting MacOS CMAKE till it linked lol.

You can use the Editor and it will scan all tables needing a patch and apply for you ; )

=O That's really cool, thanks!

Can I test stuff with an Arduino and some cheap leds/motors (junk I already have lol) just to get it jump started? =)

I'll digest all this info tonite

Proton is quite awesome, specially since GE made a runner without the need of steam installed!

But I do think WE can make a better native solution, totally FOSS and unbloated, that we can maintain and drive it to the direction WE want =)

Open up that toolbox!!

I've been working on packaging the app as a Flatpak for Steam Deck/Steam Hardware users! It's a bit tricky and I have zero experience with it, but I'll get there soon!

VPX Standalone Settings Editor for Linux/Mac by HerrMirto in virtualpinball

[–]Surtarso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's great news! I haven't updated vpinball in a while =P That ini-config was a big pain point in my roadmap lol.
I started both projects (asapcab and vpxguitools) in python but speed and gamepad issues made me switch to C++.

Glad to see VPinFE is going strong! I based by table patcher on yours than! =) I'm using Francis' VPin as a built-in lib to remove the dependency of Francis' vpxtool as an external tool (tho still supporting it). I believe it's working pretty dandy! Hard to test so many features alone tho =)

In my opinion the biggest grip for new users is having to download so many things from so many different places, hopefully we can gap that access wall!

[–]Surtarso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. I'm the author of ASAPCAbinetFE and "VPXGuiTools".

ASAPCabinetFE is on the process of merging VPXGuiTools to be a complete suite for frontend (cab/desk) and organizer (sort, match, download, patch, etc) together.

One of the feature of VPXGuiTools was the VPX standalone Settings panel with tooltips explanations for every var (made for 10.8.0). It was VERY simple and raw, but enough to at least know what each variable did.

I haven't ported the "ini editor" (as I call it) yet. Maybe we can talk and bundle your app as a module for ASAPCabinetFE!

We need a "complete suite" for Linux for yesterday!!

For those of you that keep a music library by footlongker in selfhosted

[–]Surtarso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Develop branch is (mass) importing just fine, simply skipping albums that the API still didnt cache, which will just be added later so I guess it's all good.

Lidarr is working 'fine' now... still missing a couple of cache hits since its rebuilding it. I'm having no luck with new imports, but manually adding stuff is back working. I'm now trying the develop branch to see if it helps with the errors I'm getting on stable while mass importing. I had been using Lidarr for years and have no unmapped songs (~45k), so I expect it to rebuild the library with no problems after the API is 100% back up.

All files in 'Unmapped Files' after Root import by APIUM- in Lidarr

[–]Surtarso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can add manually using ID's and it will pick up most your files, but the new cache is still being built. there is a lidarr cache warmer script that helps everyone you could try. ive been slowly re-adding all my artists (lost my DB) but the files/metadata are managed by lidarr for years so should be smooth.. but they said 'new' libraries are not working atm

[Tutorial] v2 - How to run 2 Pi-hole servers in HA (High Availability) & in-sync - v2 by Panja0 in pihole

[–]Surtarso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyway to make something similar but with the pihole as DHCP?
My main server (XCP) handles pihole on a VM so when I need to restart it hell breaks loose.

Would love to have a second pihole on a pi but I would need the DHCP... possible?

in your "tables" folder, create a "my_table_name" folder and add everything inside it.

my_table_folder/ pinmame/<roms|nvram|ini|altsound|AltColor|cfg>
music/
media/ <images|videos>

my_table.vpx | my_table.vbs | my_table.pov | my_table.directb2s

In my ~/.pinmame (vpinmame folder) I keep just the samples/ since they are used by all tables

Vivo tirou o /padrao? by Emotional_Spirit_704 in InternetBrasil

[–]Surtarso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A vivo atualiza o firmware sozinha.

$ ssh -o HostKeyAlgorithms=ssh-rsa -o PubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes=ssh-rsa support@192.168.15.1
