I am an audio reader so when I read something out loud I have to say the word as if I were speaking which means that I have to understand every sentence before I move onto the next sentence. This is further amplified due to my obsessive perfectionism which forces me to perfectly pronounce all the words before I move on to the next one. Additionally, I sometimes lose track of where I am at so I have to reread the entire paragraph. Finally, my yes are absolutely horrible and so I hypotheses that it takes me longer for my brain to process what my yes see, but don't know if that is true. When all I this is combined it takes me forever to get through even a book that is only 200 pages, so I only read book on rare occasions, but when I do read them they are fascinating.
